Your Character is Isekai'd (Forced Into Another Universe)

…into the fictional setting chosen by the poster above, how do things go down? Do they meet any of the major players? Do they encounter a bleak fate, or find belonging? Which side do they choose to be on, if any?

I’ll start us off…
Star Wars

First of all, Lintian is surprised that her magic doesn’t work there. She learns that this universe has its own kind of magic called “the Force”, but since by the sound of it it’s more like monk arts than arcane, she doesn’t even try that.

She’s dazzled by the sheer scope of the galaxy and its myriad species and cultures, but lacking any real skills applicable in this society, she fails to make a living. (She’s particularly screwed if she starts on Coruscant.) Eventually, impoverished, she stows away on a ship to some backwater forest planet, where she begins a simple life as a hunter and dreams of one day going on a tour across the galaxy.

Well.

Crikey.

Much like Lintian, Atahalni finds himself unable to do any magic here. He’s also not the friendliest looking thing, so I doubt he’d be welcomed, let alone treated with hospitality by the local elves, humans, dwarves or hobbits.

He’d probably hear/learn about Sauron/Motgoth/the evil factions in general very quickly and while you might think that would be an obvious faction for him to align himself with- Without his magic, Atahalni’s just a shorter, weaker and partially crippled tauren. Yes, he can probably clobber a human, goblin or halfling over the head, but not much else.

I don’t think the Dark Lord’s forces would look with much interest in what he could provide for them, and more than likely they’d either flat out kill him or use him for feed for the worgs.

Atahalni’s best bet would be to strike out on his own somewhere in the deep woods or wilderness and try and learn some other craft or magic to help him. Thing is, he’s not exactly stealthy either, so stealing the rings would be out of question for him, even if he knew about them.

He also wouldn’t probably like middle earth all that much. The magic is much scarcer in the world and there’s little that reminds him of home.

All in all, he’s screwed. 1/10 would not survive.
Edit: MAYBE, and this is a BIG if, one of the wizards came across him, and MAYBE if he passed a speech check, they could help him. I’m always reminded of Gandalf’s quote about sparing a life.

Keento would most likely not survive due being so nature attuned. Assuming the fox is not hunted and killed on sight for food, he would most likely find a remote spot and build a sanctum using whatever life magic he can pull on.

Survival would be growing things if possible and just avoid everyone and everything,
Unless it proves to be friendly.

I had to look up a quick summary of this setting.

Fortunately not much will change in the short time.
Thuzar would go about collecting power trinkets to keep himself safe and get by as a shady merchant, likely aligned with a crime syndicate, at most he might move in the shadow of the heroes journey maybe be even offer them a quest to go somewhere and retrieve a powerful item or rat out a competing criminal to get rid of a rival.

The problem will arise from partially mutated features, as all his fel usage have left visible deformities, and depending on how accepting the world is of weird, horned wolfmen with green eyes, wicked claws and fel scared skin, his life could be longer or shorter.

This is bad for both Paia and the Astra Sea. Paia inevitably gets lost in the Astra Sea, becoming either an evil aligned aggressive Wizard King ruling through fear and magical power or more likely being twisted into a horrible Eldritch Sovereign. In both cases she quickly becomes adept in shadow and chaos magic Fortunately for the people of the Astral Sea as her power grows she increasingly becomes completely incapable of working together with any other Godir so rarely gets to actually take over a realm, she just makes life awful while she is there.

Had to have a look at this online. But he’d be lost and wander for a bit until he eventually settled down and did something he’d finally be familiar with and become a farmer. Trading his food for protection.

Are we taking the character that’s also our avatar here? From what I’ve heard of this setting, Narmë is doing relatively okay! Nature survival environment is something she’s well prepared for, although that many “animals” are robots is going to be confusing at first.
Expect her to be the mysterious hermit hunting by herself away from the humans for a while.

(or if you know of it Practical Guide to Evil)

It would depend on if Des could still call upon the Light there or not. If not, he’d pretty much be a standard warrior in heavy armor there. He’d also be incredibly confused by the fact that traditional spellcasters do not seem to exist there, and all you have instead are the channelers of the One Power, divided into a male and female half.
The White Tower however would be somewhat familiar enough, as it’d remind him of Dalaran in a way.

He’d also be horrified upon finding out about the history of the male channelers of the One Power, who after nearly breaking the world, have apparently been either cut off from the One Power, exiled or put to death, to the point there are none left, because they run the risk of going insane due to the male half of the True Source being contaminated by the Dark One.

He’d be equally horrified by the existence of the Whitecloaks, as they are pretty much the Scarlet Crusade but without magical powers, yet far greater political weight behind them.

And then I’ve not even started with finding out about the Dragon Reborn, the Dark One, the Forsaken, Darkfiends, or even the Seanchans.

He -could- probably survive there, but he’d hate every moment of it because he wants to go back home to his friends, family and loved ones. He’d feel alien and out-of-place, and without the Light, like part of him has been cut away.

Now next universe: The Witcher world.

Funnily enough I started writing a fanfic about my DK Salfalur being sent there, but I never finished it.

One of the Black Mask Ascians tasked with trying to find out how to fix the 13th Reflection and make it useable for a Rejoining. He’s spent a bit too much time about the Void though so he’s a little crazy (by Ascian standards).

Up next:
Faerun (specifically Baldur’s Gate 3)

He’d likely fall in with some manner of gang and serve as fodder to be cut down in a side quest by the ‘heroes’ of the story. Or end up as one of the unlucky captives unceremoniously turned into a Mindflayer. Either way he isn’t particularly strong as he’s simply a farmer who turned to banditry out of desperation after being displaced by the Horde.

If Xüll was still Undead, she would no doubt be mistaken for a Darkspawn or some sort of version of them. She would probably convince someone, maybe the Hero of Ferelden/The Warden to spare her although I think it would be interesting if they were a Dwarf instead. If Xüll returned to her self before her death, then she would be more focused on finding out how it was possible to begin with but a fun adventure nonetheless.

i’d imagine my character would have a good time in the universe, being the warrior in some group, and having a fun time exploring the world! though maybe having trouble with fighting huge dragons…

I had to check youtube for this one. I think an Orc Warlock of sufficient skill would be enough to reduce that entire setting of colorful characters into a pit of ashened blackness and mountains of hellish fire.

No amount of wacky platforming can stop the power of the CHAOS BOLT!

Next; Cyberpunk: 2077 – specifically 2077, not the TTRPG or the show. The videogame, with a roided up cyberpsycho running around the city with the entire GDP of the US of A installed directly into his brainstem.

He might actually thrive in such a setting since there’s many opportunities to do dirty work in exchange for coin, favours and augmentation. I could see him ending up as an assassin for someone like Arthur Jenkins. Whether that ends well for him is another matter entirely…
