Your character's IC weapon?

Hello there Argent Dawn! Hope you’re well and all is fine.
Some people recommended to make this thread, even there was one before.

The topic of this discussion:
What’s your Character’s IC weapon?

Does it have a story? What’s it made from? Does it have a name? Did it belong to anyone? Any special origin or inspiration? Does it bear anything special, like certain enchantment, blessing or runes? Etc.
Feel free to share art you have from it, or simply the in game appearance mog you use for it.

Also, i had an idea, if anyone looks forward to it. Not forced, not necessarily required. Just would be nice:
Would be good to see if some artists, of any kind or skill, offer their skills in this thread, so anyone could ask for a sketch/commission of their weapon, either with a charge or not. How and Whatever you’d like.
(I’m more imagining of a quick, simple one)
I myself can try to do a pencil sketch, although has to wait.

Good luck, have fun.

Izzi’s got a big honkin’ pair of magitech powergloves that she uses to throw people around.

Originally built 'em for dockworkers in Kezan, before realising they were just better for violence.

Still looking for a good model for them, though - shamans have a real shortage of bulky gauntlets.

Oh boy, Throgan uses an oversized axe passed down in his family. The holder is meant to deduct which offspring is worthy enough to bear the name “Grimcleave” and use the axe. The axe itself is naturally called “Grimcleaver” and is made out of steel for the handle and hardened adamantite for head. Along with fire runes because model demanded it.

To all these badass stories and lore chiseled down by the age and experience of generations, I present to you: :wrench:

A shotgun cane. Nothing beats people better than a chubby Goblin with a bad knee, who whips out his cane, cranks it and proceeds to blow your head off. Basically it’s Gizzyfius’ go-to and was not a thing during the creation of the character, but gradually became more and more of a staple for him due to IC conflict and injuries.

It also looks dapper as hell.

Elly made his own runeblade and then shoved his sister’s ghost soul inside it.

It was the morally good choice.

She carries daggers but there’s nothing really special about them and she’s lost and replaced quite a few.

The real IC weapon is the friends we made along the way sneaking and opportunism.

Angst and sorrow, manifested into a metaphorical fist of great fury. Which is of course channeled through an actual fist of iron.

I hate it when this happens!

Anyways Mori here used a Truesilver Moonstave, with the Moon part being made out of an Ancient Kaldorei Arcane Crystal, which was in his family’s possession for centuries. He went for the Moonstave to show his faith in Elune, and due to the fact that his Ancient Manaleaf Staff was resting somewhere on the bottom of the sea in his ancestral manor in Zin-Azshari, alongside the corpses of his Grandfather, grandmother, father and mother(as far as he knows)…(Ofcourse I would’ve retrieved it had I still be playing in 4.2).

Now for my Warrior; he uses an Satyr’s Hoof(which is ironically alss the name he gave to his mace) as his preffered weapon in battle. After the War of the Satyr and the betrayel of his father, he left to hunt his father down, in which he succeeded, only to cut of his hoof, have it embarked(Basicly a Druid grew bark around it to preserve it, sort of) and enchanted. He now wears it as his preffered weapon; both to remind himself that nothing comes before his race, family and himself. Also he sorts of like bashing in Troll and Orcish skulls and ribs!

It’s a fork.

…Okay, not really. May actually uses an enchanted dagger or an enchanted longsword most of the time; besides their individual enchantments, their main design purpose is to facilitate serving as spellcasting implements while keeping her armed for actual melee combat, should the need arise.

Ahhh s*it here we go again…

Lou uses Wolfclaw (name is not a rip off of a very famous tv series no no sir.) the Longsword of his house forged by Vrykul smiths in ancient times form titans steel as a last gift of parents to there currsed children, has titan runes along the blade and all that cool stuff, but looks in shame like a normal 11th century Knights sword Long brad double edged blade, straight barr crossguard a hilt for one and a half hand, and a round pommel on one side of the disk pommel a wolf head on the other the silver fist of Tyr.

Even if its a last gift; shouldn’t it be considered a normal sword, or dagger, by their standards? I mean sure it was a gift to their cursed offspring; but did they even know how “big” or “small” their cursed offspring would be since the ones that were around got murdered, I presume, before adulthood and the other ones grew up without Vrykul (parents)?

Love the rest though! And I never heard or seen that concept before!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Chieun, being a resolute lawbringer, has always preferred pole weapons.

Early on this was a simple metal spear, but when she joined the Wun Dynasty after Teldrassil she bought a Kul Tiran poleaxe from a salvage company near the Wun inn. It has served her well until now, but after recovering it from the Frozen Paw’s ship - the Nightfall - Chieun found that the weapon had not fared well after being left alone and unmaintained for so long.

Right now, thanks to the patronage of Shuang, Chieun is having a new poleaxe forged, and this time actually enchanted - a Crane-themed weapon made by Yih the ghostforger. It will be enchanted with increased resilience (to block and parry more powerful enemy weapons without damage - relevant to Chieun’s role) as well as more hitting power and the ability to channel flame.

Akamito used to wield an Elven forged greataxe that had been gifted to his ancestors after the War of the Ancients. It was passed down to him after his father perished at the Battle of Mount Hyjal by a friendly Orc who spotted it on the field.

Sadly it was lost during the Northrend campaign on the Storm Peaks and he was unable to relocate it. Now he just wields a bog standard tauren axe like an absolute pleb.
