Your character's IC weapon?

Croecell has a bow made out of bone that is wrapped by purple cloth that she has had for years, she takes good care of it. She has also recently acquired an elven sword.

My blood elf rogue has two daggers that are trollish in design, they are also made out of bone. He acquired them from a forest troll that tried to kill him with them. he keeps them as a, “bullet with his name on it” reminder.

Hibani has a dwarven blunderbuss that she has added to to make it more troll-like. With bits of wood stuck to it. Fires well though.

Erybdis’ bow is enchanted wood that was her mother’s originally. She has taken a lot of care of it for ten thousand years.

Oh yeah. My other character is a goblin noir detective warlock and she has a revolver that’s actually just a wand with a trigger.

‘Grey Heron’ carries a sniper rifle of her own design.

As a talented engineer she spent the last 30 years revising and refining her first homemade repeater rifle into what it is today. In its fourth version, the ‘Firebeak Mk IV’ is pretty much a state-of-the-art sniper rifle employing a magazine-fed rotating bolt action. Outfitted with a 3-9x40 scope and an extendable as well as adjustable bipod, the Firebeak allows her to acquire targets at distances of up to 200 yards away and packs the necessary punch to boot.

The cartridges of her rifle are pretty much comprised of a simple brass casing holding either a lead bullet in its default variant, or hardened Thorium-tip bullets if she needs to get through a layer of plating first. As propellant for her rifle she employs regular thickened gunpowder with a dash of Incendicite. Seeing as the latter is rather rare, Grey not only carefully measures out the amount of Incendicite she uses, but also aims to make every shot count as to not wasting precious materials.

Suffice to say, this Pandaren is pretty damn proud of her work and although her rifle is still prone to jamming or misfiring every now and then, she couldn’t be any more content than with what she has.

“Gettin’ laid’s pretty cool ‘n’ all but’ave ya ever sent a piece of lead down the range at six hundred meters per second?” - Grey Heron the Gun Panda

As someone who actually served in the military and has a golden marksmanship medal btw)) this reads like some gun mall ninja copypasta

Yeah but let the guy have his fun tbh, there’s no need to demand intense realism just because you were in the military and he wasn’t

Not unless we’re gonna insist everyone has full arms training to RP using a sword???

600 miles per second is three times faster than our galaxy rotates so you gotta think about perspective sometimes

That’s 3.4 million km/h.

Literally picking on a p. much throwaway IC quote.

Like I’d get it if they were claiming their gun would kill Anduin, Greymane and Jaina before they even knew what was happening but like honestly live and let live a little, even if you you do know better.

I WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGIZE FOR THIS FATAL TYPO OF MINE.

The post was meant to say ‘meters’ instead of ‘miles’.

Update: I corrected it.

No, keep it in Miles, then you will have the most impressive weapon on this thread.

Dudflex has a point! But nothing really to apologize for to be honest.

Not unless we’re gonna start advocating bullying people for mistakes and/or a lack of knowledge haha :joy::joy::joy:

Taken from my TRP:

Soulrend

A death-forged spadone, designed to sever through plate armor with the aid of its ludicrous size.

Despite the weapon’s stature, the knight has trained extensively with it, developing a personal technique which permits to deliver lethal counter-attacks, especially when engaged by multiple foes at the same time.

Through the usage of ancient rune magic, the Knight has achieved enough power to allow his sword to be split in half, granting him a dual-wielding stance in case of need.

A set of engravings has appeared on the blade’s length, forged by an unknown Dark Iron dwarf with the usage of a hidden shadowforge. The runes allow for the blade to flow better in the air, thus enhancing the wielder’s swings.

For my other characters:

Ashiraya uses a simple steel longsword as her primary weapon. While one would expect a more notable or powerful weapon, she uses it for a number of reasons. First, death knight magic (using runes fitted to her armour, rather than the sword) allows her to overcome situations that the sword cannot. Second, it avoids her becoming complacent and becoming too reliant on a powerful weapon instead of her own finesse. It also occasionally tricks enemies into relaxing their focus. She also has a number of secondary weapons, like a dagger and some specifically made throwing spikes.

My priest Li-Lein uses a longstaff atop which a book of her own writing is placed. The book is infused with holy magics and sometimes moves on its own.

My mage En-Liu has a few staves but more notably also has a broad sword, as fencing is a hobby of hers - an exception to her usual distaste for ‘primitive’ melee combat.

hey besides the whole post being something ripped straight out of a mall ninja’s D&D character sheet I got just one question.

How did she measure bullet velocity? Chronographs arent a thing, neither is radar. And if it only shoots ‘200 yards’ (182.8 meters) then what? She counted a fouth of a second to get to 200 yards and eyeballed it to 600 meters per second?
