World of Warcraft Dragonflight is officially OVER and it’s time to review our ranking of the expansions we liked the most/least among:

  1. Vanilla;
  2. TBC;
  3. Wrath;
  4. Cataclysm;
  5. Pandaria;
  6. Draenor;
  7. Legion;
  8. BFA;
  9. SL;
  10. DF;

Here is my preference:

Wrath>TBC>Vanilla>Legion>Pandaria>DF>BFA>Draenor>Cataclysm>SL

I do not play them ! I play level 20 free mode this is Amazer since long time , joy

Everything above DF. DF was a disaster.

I liked Mop, DF & TBC.
Disliked Cata, Wod & Legion.
The rest is ok but that’s bout it.

I started playing in MoP, so:

1 Legion
2 WoD
3 MoP

The others were “ok”
Shadowlands was bad overall but I liked the art a lot.

Based on the expansions I have experienced:

  1. Legion
  2. WoD
  3. MoP
  4. BfA
  5. DF
  6. SL

Here is my ranking:

  1. Legion - great expansion with amazing plot and systems (bring back class halls!). It was so great, that it was able to drag me from being complete occasional questing casual to semi-casual, actively participating in end-game content.
  2. Dragonflight - finally after 2 very questionable expansion game shook off many systems and chores and allow to just play the way you want. The first expansion I play from moment of release to the end of it. It has much room to breathe, so I finally did my step from semi-casual LFR player to hardcore and become a Mythic raider. The only big problem of expansion is the story, which is really meh.
  3. Pandaria - amazing story, amazing vibe, amazing zones and music.
  4. Battle for Azeroth - expansion had many problems, but from Alliance semi-casual player point of view it was really nice. I really like zones and music (Stormsong valley theme still in my playlists). Alliance story engaged me and I enjoyed it very much. But after reaching end-game expansion turns itself into endless azerith farm.
  5. Classic era (Vanilla, The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King) - I combined all classic era into 1 place, because I didn’t played it that much. It was fun to do occasional questing with friends, but overall game was tiresome, required huge amounts of time investments, everything was so slow and boring because of it. I never even reached level cap.
  6. Draenor - started good but then become very boring. I’m not a fan of Orc story in Warcraft lore tbh. And at some point of time I’ve realized, that every day I’m logging, gathering ores and plants in Garrison and log off. And just dropped it then.
  7. Cataclysm - for some reason it was very boring to play it back in the days, so I dropped it very quickly.
  8. Shadowlands - the most hated expansion by me. It really looked like the game actively refusing me from playing it. Story is weird, zones are not attractive, the Maw doesn’t want me to be there and punish for every not accurate movement. Torgast was a big chore I didn’t like in a bit, but it was mandatory for leggos. For getting the whole story it was required to have 4 characters (one for each Covenant), which was also not great.

I think I’ll go:

  1. Dragonflight: after SL and BFA it was an expansion that I really enjoyed and was the first one that I had no break in-between.
  2. MoP: Amazing period.
  3. Legion: Playing your class/spec felt actually special
  4. Wrath: I started playing here so… it has a special place on my heart, and also there is Arthas <3
  5. BFA: Chores were a mess but music and art was pretty good. Alliance side quests were better and as Horde I felt pure evil and that was also entertaining , since we are supposed to be the bad guys. I loved Sylvanas as Warchief but hated Nathanos the entire time.
  6. Cata: Deathwings raid was cool
  7. Draenor: was one of the worst it was sooo boring for me, I think I just enjoyed the Ashran part.
  8. Shadowlands: The only thing I liked here was the art and music, but the Jailer and what they did to the lore sucked.

I have never played TCB properly it stays out since I only went there to do quest until I could go to Northrend

Not played enough to have an opinion Wod and pandaria (but pandaria is still my preferred one to level - but i guess after 20 lvl 70 levelled i stop for a while)
