So since we’re reaching the end of SoD, but we know that the team already has plan going forward. What would you personally like to see in the next Season?
achievement system
better devs that won’t gut my spec and force me to downgrade literally 4 pieces of gear just to optimize set bonuses.
i’m looking at the enh t3 lightning shield nerf.
turns out it had some dire ramifications for me, personally.
see, when phase 7 came out they added the shoulder rune enchant system.
“great” i thought.
“now i can just spend the tokens i was saving for the t2.5 tank set on enhancement pieces for my offspec since i can just put the 4 set bonus on my shoulder, woohoo!”.
come this phase, their “minor change” to the enhance t3 2p bonus has set me back no less than 3 phases worth of gear in 4 of my slots, because all i had to resort back to for optimization was t2 tank gear… so now im using 4/4 t2/t3 tank gear and my character is wearing a green dress with his lava armor… wonderful.
maybe the devs should stop making these kneejerk changes to CURRENTLY RELEVANT gear (this is not the same as the paladin t1/2 set bonus nerfs) because with this change they are essentially telling me to go do old content (aq25) and win no less than 4 tokens to get my prebis for SE, whereas i already had that going into the phase, and previously passed on many a time because i didn’t need those tokens back in phase 7.
HNNNNRRR WHY DID I REDEEM EET!?
god forbid i was unable to tell the ****ing future huh?
guess i’m just ****ed until i win T3.5 gear and everyone can bully me for worse overall performance until then.
Why? It is lame…
Achievements give people something to do apart from raid logging. Also it’s at least some form of progress that is permanent and account-wide
No more seasons , give it a rest and cook for a proper classic +
If anything…Transmorg but i rather it end.
Some adjustments to gearing system i would like to see
- Make tier pieces for different specs be exchanged back to token and then to other spec piece with the only penalty is losing enchants. It will make trying different specs easier.
- Make a currency for every raid, that drop only from this raid bosses. Make ALL items from this raid purchasable for big amount of this currency, as bad luck protection. Main gear source should still be direct item drop from bosses, but you can get 1-2 items that you are missing for long time for this currency.
- Make non tier pieces also viable, add more mechanics like timeworn that applies to non-set items. I think that should be single mechanic appling to all raids, like timeworn rings, bonus applies to all non-set pieces from raids or even dungeons, and bonus is higher with each raid tier release (for example: 1% per piece on MC phase, 2% on BWL/ZG, 3% on AQ, …), but the same for all raids, depends only of current phase (for example: on AQ phase you get 3% for any non-set of any raid or dungeon), so it will make older raid off pieces also viable (you will still change them because of stats, but the difference shouldn’t be so huge as if it was both stats and bonus). So you will have a choice: use set bonuses or use non-set and compensate it with this bonus
I will offer something that has not been offered before:
1.) Global achievement system Battle.net - Takes into account achievements on all versions of the game.
2.) Local achievement system for Classic (vanilla, sod, hardcore servers, especially achievements for the hardcore mode)
3.) New items for pets (pet gear)
4.) Rating arena with the ability to use professions in vanilla (including PVE hardcore servers) + Reworking the characteristics of PVP items.
5.) Adding 2 new conceptual classes (undead hunter, with the ability to tame undead - for the horde and Human hunter with a specialization in crossbows)
Or a companion-pet for each, with different builds. (for example, a healer pet)
6.) Total destruction of bots using new neural network technologies.
I really like the idea of any item being purchasable for a very big number of “coins” from the raid. Bad luck protection is always a good thing.
Also it would allow you to work slowly towards your goal, while now it feels like you wasted your time and the lockout when your item does not drop
For Phase 9
Karazhan Tower
For Phase 10
Arena
Caverns of Times
Less player power, feels like were playing MoP instead of Classic. SoD jumped off the deep end in like phase 3 and it’s just gotten crazier since, P1 honestly felt the best from a “Classic+” point of view with just subtle changes to make the underdogs viable.
Wanna to see death knights with breath of sindragosa ability and Blackrock deeps with timer
phase 1 was powercrept as hell too.
the gear from BFD (for lvl 25) was better than SM gear - a dungeon you need lvl 37-40 to do in full…
it was galactically overpowered for its item levels in sheer stats alone.
find me any collection of items in vanilla, at level 25-30 that gives even a smidge of i.e spell power and attack power that gets even close to what the “tier” set from BFD would provide for the appropriate classes.
my lvl 25 shaman was running around with like +70 spell power (and a ton of attack power due to rockbiter being broken) in full BFD bis, which, for comparison, you will barely have when you hit lvl 60 under normal circumstances, unless you are rich enough to afford crafted items and high end enchants etc.
Yeah alot of people pointed that out in phase 1 and wondered what blizzard would do with future phases. And we kinda got the answer of that. It kept going higher and higher snd it became to much😅
Even tho i would say phase 1 was the most fun
Yes, it’s the caster itemization problem in classic - that most of dungeon items dont have spell power on it. I would not call this “powercreep”, it’s just the itemization problem in classic. Raw stats on BFD gear are not so high compared to SM. Hydra strike weapon from BFD is 31.3 dps, when ravager from SM armory is 37.3
I would love to see Classic WoW’s world & quests and then find a way to introduce DH/DK/Monk (all from lvl 1 ofc) & JC/Inscription.
If they do another season before classic+ i would like to see a pvp season.
They got alot of information for pve from SoD and i dont think they need more from that part.
what they need to find out now is how pvp will fit in and how to balance it.
They can look at introduce pvp items in erlier stages. They can ad green items and even ad weaponds, jewelry and trinkets.
Just playe whit the thoughts that a season would look like this: WSG from lvl 10 and also ad the pvp/pve event from SoD in Ashenvale.
From lvl 30 they ad AB and we also have STV event.
We have AV as normal at lvl 51.
Now the fun part starts. At 60 we now will have 1 or 2 new bg,s. We will get ratetd bg,s and arena. Finaly we will get 2 new ranks where 1 is for wanety only and the last is to get some awsom final pvp item or two.
No mater what kind of version of wow we play there will alway be people who want to pvp so we beter not forget them.
So find balance between classes and specs. They need to fin a good itimisation in the pvp gear who benefits pvp and in some way will counter pve items.
ban on wowlogs. toxic sh*t logging system.
A more pvp balanced and focus game…lets try that for a change
