Hey, whats your routes, tacts, consumables and ilvl? I’m currently 466 equipped with 42 crit, 23 haste and 35 mastery. Tough i still never tried 3 masks.
Can’t say very much because not yet done a full Org clear (WIP), but still, here’s my two cents.
Orgrimmar vision is very easy for hunters in terms of skips. First of all, take Camouflage instead of Natural Mending. You can run in camo straight to Garona zone ignoring the mob packs, and after that run again in camo straight to the last mob pack near to Rexxar. It will save you hell of a time. After that you jump into portal and again run in camo through packs to Zekhan zone. Then it’s pretty straight-forward – clear the last zone as fast as possible and kill Thrall.
Next, change Killer Cobra to Aspect of the Beast in last tier – your pet will get much more damage output and survivability from improved sustain. And change your pet. Find and tame some Clefthooves or Scalehides – they can tank basically entire zone pulled, because their combo of defensive abilities and ferocity sustain is too good to ignore.
For consumables – take a pack of K’babs for your run. It’s optimal to eat them before entering Lost Zones (Rexxar/Geya’rah). Best place for them to eat is in starting zone, but only if you can. Other consumables are default – augment rune, flask, crit food.
That’s it. I’ve almost made full SW with 1 mask (hardest one) even in my lousy 451 gear, but just haven’t enough time. It shouldn’t be a problem for you, so just git gud.
3 mask solo Barely over 450 gear. (Org and SW)
BIG POST I APOLOGISE!
ORG
Left is the easier route.
So start by going right. Camouflage. Run up to the first barrier.
Focus any squid face’s first. Especially the casters, let them shoot there first bolt, and interrupt the second which will probably be a stun.
The first big faceless guy is easy, just make him fight you against a wall, then his push back doesn’t do much.
FIRST BOSS
Just stand on him. That’s it. If you stand on him his void torrent doesn’t hit you, everything else is just bursting.
DANGERS
Scorched feet, making you jump away when you don’t want to.
That’s it…
Onto rexxar.
Run in, Kill misha, if you feel confident you can pull the first pack in to, watch out for headbutt. The beetles are just cleavable since they blow up at low health anyway. Just watch out for the headbutt knockbacks.
Standing on corpses summons more beetles. Laugh at one of the wasps carrying away a pig.
Get to rexar.
Pop a sanity restoration orb, and start the fight WHILE IN THE ORB!
It’ll give you some immunity time. Kill his pigs, since they will drain your sanity fast, Rexxar himself isn’t really dangerous. If you take him down too fast lots of pigs spawn, so focus the pigs.
DANGERS
Split personality, the long stun can really mess you up if the pigs are still alive.
Take the wind back, Camo Right route.
Left route faceless thing is the same as the last, fight him on a wall.
Run to the lost zone first.
And if you don’t have it, there’s a free toy in the barbers.
it’s in a lil box. Anyway.
Run to the lost zone, and clear the first big add. Instantly take a left through the huts, and aggro the little group, pull them back a bit, cleave them down. Kill the big brute for that sweet sweet 200 sanity restoration.
Kill, kill, kill, Most of the adds here are just the big guys so just don’t stand in stuff and you will be fine.
There is only 1 dangerous pack in this room. It’s to the right hand side of the entrance, with 2 of the casters. You will want to freeze one, and kill the other.
Or suffer a 5 second stun with a big faceless thing turning your backside inside out.
The elites give about 30% to your bar completion so you want to focus those two down most. And the npc will make some pulls awkward but it’s nothing to hard.
BOSS
Just stand close to him again.
This will be harder depending on the madnesses of the week, but as long as you keep an eye on your positioning you should be ok. The hardest one for that is the split personality. Everything else is just a minor inconvenience. He will spawn adds, just cleave them down with your regular rotation.
DANGERS
In order.
Split personality, can trap you. Since this fight is 99% avoiding crap it can be a pain.
Leaden foot. Limiting your movement, more dangerous if wearing double insanity mask.
Run back out, Go through the cave to the troll area.
Berserkers give you a debuff that heals them when they attack you. The big void elementals give you a debuff that increases the damage you take. Other than that, nothing scary.
You can skip the last two big guys by hugging the wall of the embassy. Or stealth if your not confident.
Boss is again, pretty easy, but it’s entirely about your dancing skills.
If you skipped the last two big guys you may want to kite him to the left of the embassy away from them. Then just kill him while avoiding the waves. The only thing he will do is cast hopelessness, you just recollect your soul.
DANGERS
Scorched feet, jumping you into a stunning tidal wave.
After this, jump out. Go mess up Thrall.
I’m assuming you have gotten all the bosses so here’s what’s new.
He has a pig. (killable)
His stun stomp has been replaced with a stomp that makes a line of shadowy goop on the floor that drains sanity and stuns.
And he will cast hopelessness.
Don’t worry about his shield ability, it’s just annoying.
Consumables, Generic pots. The speed boost food.
Generic advice
Drink the strange liquid potions you find they are delicious. Keep an eye on what color you drink, 1 color will take away 60 sanity the rest are all beneficial buffs.
As a hunter, Your pets are super valuable. But are more helpful in stormwind since 60% of those fights have some sort of mechanic where you can’t touch the boss.
It’s 10% skill 10% gear 40% Cloak and 40% Titanic Research.
This is an amazing post dude I need to do some of this I’ve got pretty far and am happy (read 0 guides) but damn that rexxar pig thing got me I was like this is alot of adds lol I’ll bear that in mind.
3 mask solo again.
SECOND APOLOGY FOR BIG POST
This one is for stormwind, I have a little less experience, since I hate fighting the elf.
NOTES BEFORE HAND!
You may want to make a pet passive macro if you haven’t got it hot keyed. As the Elf at the end will have lots of ground bad zones.
Again this is assuming you are doing all the bosses.
STORMWIND!
Take a left, there is no easy route here. Only the left route if you are going to clear all bosses.
You may as well pull the front door guardians while you are here, they aren’t as bad as the Org ones, as they don’t have that annoying fear.
Just watch out for the Soldiers with the shields, as there repel ability sends your damage back at you. Focus them down, as soon as repel activates switch target.
DWARVEN DISTRICT!
Help the gnome plant bombs.
As a hunter, if your pet has aggro, you can actually place the bombs in combat. So that’s pretty easy.
There are no real dangerous adds in this area, Just kill them at your own pace. And avoid obvious glowing purple slam areas.
The first Elite in the area is a angry dwarf who spits fire at you and makes little fire pools, he’s basically a trainee version of this area’s boss. Just burst him down.
THE BOSS OF THE AREA
A slightly angrier dwarf who throws bombs at you, and spits fire in a telegraphed cast.
DANGERS
Scorched feet sending you into his fire.
You’re pet, can make positioning awkward if you are SV. The fight is easier for ranged.
Take the path to Old town. Ignore the portal.
You will be jumped by 2 rogues. Not a threat.
Immediately to the right is an Elite A kultiran weapon master, she just does an aoe attack (Pretty much a bladestorm) And a telegraphed cannon shot. Avoidable by moving 2 inches to the left or right.
Again an easier fight as a ranged, than melee.
Dangerous adds in this area, the informants, humans in rogue masks. Who will transform into those mind flayer guys and cast the touch of the drowned which is a 5 second stun. So focus the informants and only interrupt them when they are in the squid face form.
Second elite is right in front of the boss door. He’s just a giant faceless, nothing hard.
Press the ward and the gate will open. You may need to wait a minute or two for your follower to reach the other ward.
BOSS TIME
Hold right click, and face away from the eyeballs.
Done.
No, seriously that’s it.
If you are anywhere near half sanity, pop and orb and start the fight.
The guy will disappear a few times during the fight, and summon more eyes, Just. Don’t look at them directly,
DANGERS!
Haunting shadow, making you run possibly into vision
Mask of the daredevil. 400% increased sanity damage is no joke on this boss.
The gate by the first elite should now be open, letting you run right to the trade district.
If you have stealth, you could take the portal and camouflage run to there. Whichever you find more comfortable.
TRADE DISTRICT!
This is my personal taste. But I like to kill everything in here, before I actually kill the boss, since you will be running through everything to unlock all the cages.
first Elite, A caster who has 2 attacks, a channel that damages your sanity, and a weird debuff that reduces your healing.
Easy kill.
Then the boss. His only big attack is Chains of domination, which will spawn a small pool around his feet, and you are silenced as you keep away.
As a hunter your pet will still damage them, so that’s beneficial.
DANGERS
None. This boss is literally a tank and spank, I guess don’t get his by the tentacles?
Make your way to the mage quater.
This is a part I’m not the best at. Simply run from spot to spot killing portal masters, once again focus on casters, they have fears instead of stuns this time, and the voidlords in the area once again cast void buffet, a damage taken debuff. More dangerous with more masks.
First elite is just a caster, he will make aoe rain of fire, just don’t stand in it.
Second one is a giant flesh beast that spits tons of annoying little attacks on the floor. He has a chance of Patrolling into you mid fight with other adds.
After all the portals are destroyed you go up into the portal room.
Pop a sanity orb, and start the fight.
Interrupt his polymorph.
He will then teleport to a side of the room start casting. You need to run up to him to stop his cast. Fortunately, you’re a hunter. So your pet will instantly stop the guys casting.
UNFORTUNATELY. He will start using Polymorph, probably while you’re interrupt is on CD So you will have to just eat that.
This will happen twice. Then he dies.
DANGERS
Every insanity is bad here.
Leaden foot stops you getting to him.
Haunting shadow and split personality are more dangerous on this fight due to polymorph lasting so long.
Take the portal out.
It’s just to the left when you are leaving.
You are now ready for the last fight.
Again like last post this assumes you have beaten all the bosses so I will explain her full mechanics.
- She has an eyeball now, that will teleport around the room, don’t face it and it’s not going to do crap.
- She has the Chains of servitude (annoyance is nullified due to your pet still able to attack it basically just saps your time/sanity)
- She throws firebombs which make pools of fire on the floor you can’t stand in.
Everything else is the same.
If you have a sanity orb left, pop it while she’s talking. It will give you a few moments of immunity while you recharge.
This is where the passive pet macro comes in handy as a SV if you are ranged… you can pretty much ignore all my advice here and just dps her down and not stand in the lava.
When she summons lava, stand behind a pillar with your pet on passive, she will then run to get you in LOS getting her out of the lava and stopping her ranged attacks.
She will do lots of teleporting to the middle of the room, so make sure to slap all your debuffs and poisons on her while you can, and hope you get the pheromone bomb enough to spam kill command.
DANGERS
Mask of the daredevil. And pet placement. That’s it.
Since 60% of these fights have some sort of mechanic where you can’t touch the boss.
Chained servitude. Teleporting mage guy. The elf’s boss fight where you need to hide behind pillars.
So BM will have a very easy time in SW
It’s 10% skill 10% gear 40% Cloak and 40% Titanic Research.
