Thought to give shaman a shot back in wotlk since I got bored of priest and hunter I had played earlier and fell in love. Race doen’t matter really. This one because it goes moooo and punts gnomes well. I definitely would be a cow if I woke up in wow tomorrow and got the choice. Or dunno, perhaps depending how large the “horn” is…

Rolled Shaman but got bored of it 2 weeks into SL.
I’ve always loved DK but two things held me back.
I’ve always been a ranged player, and I felt DK was too easy.
I came to the obvious understanding that too easy is irrelevant, I enjoy the class and that’s all that matters. Two great specs that are both good in all types of content I enjoy. And honestly UH is probably one of the harder melee specs.
I’m also leveling a Druid and a Warlock in case I miss being ranged. DoTs are one of my favorite types of damage, especially in PVP.
Me and Symy are a perfect example of why you dont ask “what should I main?”.
Symy loves their Shammy, I regretted it.
Also it’s Z Troll. Z Trolls look amazing in gear. 
and a great racial.
Lock is belf though.

I’m going to do all 4 of my mains because I use them all the time.
This hunter:
I enjoyed hunter back in TBC and WotLK and undead is my favourite race so I race changed my belf hunter into an undead and have stuck with her ever since.
Originally, my main was an undead warlock in TBC and then a troll shaman in WotLK.
And yeah, I’d probably wake up as a forsaken, whether I like it or not.
Tauren druid;
Made him in TBC because I wanted the treant form so learned how to play resto druid. He is always the 1st healer I fall back on and usually the 2nd character I level.
Undead Priest:
Originally my PvP main, used to really like disc. Made her back in WotLK. Also love Will of the Forsaken in PvP.
Zandalari Paladin:
The newest of my mains, but I’ve always liked prot paladin and I’m okay with ret. Also, trolls are my 2nd favourite race. (If I wasn’t really attached to my tauren druid, I may have race changed him into a troll). So seemed right to finally add a paladin to my main list.

Actually no , i played warlock first but got bored of casters when i tasted how fun melee is
Cuz they’re the original night elves that is untouched by anything and they have wine

DK didn’t feel DK at the end of wod. With a new class, Demon Hunter, coming in Legion, it was good moment to switch main.
So yeah, I made the decision to switch even before i knew anything else about it. I wnat to believe I wasnt a fotm reroller.

Each of my 4 chars is a part of me.
The hunter - the goofy dude that has a cat.
The warlock - the mean sadist girl in me. Come closer and closer and burn.
The warrior - the protective tank.
The shammy - the healer that wants to help people and is really friendly.
Unfortunately only the shammy plays well and in SL and is level 50 and I am not in the mood to help Bobby to buy a new yacht.

Hard to say - my first character was a NE Hunter, then I went Horde (Tauren) as Hunter and then Druid. Switched to Alliance again, back to NE, first as Druid, then Hunter. Added Rogue, Warrior (both NE), Draenei Shaman 10-12 years ago, and most recently an NE Priest (I’ve played the other classes, they don’t do it for me).
My NE Hunter (not the one I started with) was my first to 120, and then 60 - followed by my NE Druid - both of these are 13 years played, and I suppose the Hunter counts as my main, because she’s furthest down the covenant storyline, but…
Currently at 59 with an NE Rogue (outlaw) and enjoying the more complex play style, so she may end up my main for this expansion, however the Priest is fun, and I’ve still got to see how my warrior does in SL.
I think I chose Dps as main (last time I tanked was Auchindoun) and I’ve never played healer. Class I know best is Hunter, but none of them are hard to refine. NE and Tauren are my fave races, they both fit my punk/hippy folk horror leanings but if I woke up in wow I’d go NE, and run away from the alliance to try and reclaim Eldre’Thalas.
My main is my main because it is my first character, which I picked based upon:
Faction: Horde seemed like warmongering dishonourable plebs living in mud huts - so I went with the faction I at the time thought I could in a bigger degree share values with. And given how everyone mindlessly are sheeping to the Horde, I have never regret picking Alliance.
Race: Picking a race I could somewhat identify myself with was easy, being short and ugly myself I picked the shortest available race.
Class: Picking a class matching my personality wasn’t that hard either. Melee classes were considered being too extrovert, leaving me with the caster classes.
Hunter? Nah, too hunterish and melee.
Priest? Nah, too much focus on healing and the light.
Mage? Nah, too memeish extrovert spellcaster.
Warlock? Purple class colour and passive-aggressive dotting? Perfect!
Spec: I spawned in Gnomeregan specced as Affliction, and grow fast fond of the spec, as well as the race, starting zone, and faction. Have later considered Demonology to be too Hunterish, and Destruction too Mageish, so Affliction is my best fit.
If I wake up in WoW, would I be my main’s race? I’m not entirely sure as I am also fond of the other Alliance races (except the boooooooooooooooooooooring humans).
Alliance human warrior, started from nothing and became a god in the story.

Reason for picking: It was the Cool new class in wotlk, so i decided to try it and loved it.
Was it your original choice?: Played since 2006 so… no. First 60 was a warrior, First 70 was a rogue first 80 was a paladin, then every expansion after that was the DK
Reason for your race?: Firstly i wanted to be an orc DK, But then after alittle bit (orc made it to like 60) I realised “I have too many orc on my character selection” So i then deleted that orc and made a troll since it was the only race i had not tried yet.
Obviously he’s not troll any more, But he was Troll from wotlk all the way until mid-legion i think i then switched him to orc since over the years i had a bit regretted that i made him a troll, I then enjoyed the orc Throughout BFA until shadowlands Pre-purchase where i made him into a Zandalari Troll, Then i for some reason got the idea that i just wanted to be “Bigger” so… i recently like a 5 days ago changed him to High mountain tauren.
Guess we’ll see if i change him again 
Love BM hunter and all the pets you can tame…also great all-rounder.
If I woke up in Azeroth, I would be seriously conflicted… Floof or Nelf?.. might go Nelf because of longevity, but it would be a very tough decision.

Rogue seemed like a fun idea at the time, not so much when its kind of the class clown in terms of how boring it is how pruned the class is

I have a pet dog, the alliance don’t have a great selection of races.

Was it your original choice?: Yeah, was either this or Rogue, but there really never were any choice in the matter.
Reason for your race?: Racials… Was best SV racials and Rep racial is handy dandy #BringBackEveryManForHimself the new name is dumb.
If you was to wake up in WoW would you be the race you main?: I mean probably unless its by magical means in which case I’d prob be an orc or zandalari troll.

I main a pala tank. Back in Vanilla/TBC me and my friends decided to create a full group paladins, me tank, a healer and 3DPS… just for lolz. I’m the only one ended up as main.
I fell in love with the class.
Waking up as a strong independent woman? … guess I could I suppose…
