Your OS is unsupported

Since today, I’m unable to click the blue Play button in battle.net app. It’s greyed out with a message “Your OS is unsupported”, while I have updated Windows 10.

Starting the game from .exe starts with no issues.

Is this a joke I’m not privy to? “Your OS is unsupported”? Reminds me of 1996 games that won’t run on new computers because they don’t have enough memory.

Is this a widespread issue and is there a solution?

I’m having the same issue. However I cannot run WoW through .exe either.

Tried everything I can think of to fix it but no luck.

If anyone has a fix please let me know:)

Have you tried running WOW.exe with administrative privileges ? (right click the icon and select ‘run as Administrator’ to do this).

That might get you up and running temporarily.

Estimated 2 minutes wait time logging in might be issue with servers

I have, and it worked, although it seems you were addressing the poster above.

I would really like one of four Blizzard employees working on this game to explain how could this happen. People are litterally cut from playing the game!

I forgot to reply, I managed to get it working only when I closed battle.net through Task Manager, exiting the app doesn’t work. Thanks for the tip!

Having to do this every time I want to play as it’s been an ongoing issue for 3 days now

You do realise that the staff working on these forums are just community managers, NOT developers or GM’s?

GM’s don’t use the forums for any form of communication, as Blizzard doesn’t want the forums being used to bypass the ticket queues, and the developers don’t interact with players at all.
