Your queue times are really broken

Average wait time, even for a BG, says 8 minutes. I’ve been in queue and still in queue over 10 minutes. This is just a BG… Is it bigger when in a group with a friend…?

The estimates for World of Warcraft daily players range from over 700,000 to 1,650,000 players . Didn’t know it was that low… The game must be doing something wrong to lose so many people.

17+ minutes for a BG. Queues have never been this bad, especially for a BG. The “Average wait time” is completely wrong as it’s always over double what it says.

This game is literally dying, and more people will leave in the process. It’s turned into “World of Waitcraft”.

Roll a healer then

The game isn’t dying. There’s just too many DPS players for every healer in PvP. Even in PvE, it’s harder to find a healer these days than a tank in most high content (20+ keys or heroic raiding).

Just did heroic for bag as a healer, only waited two minutes for a tank :man_shrugging:

A solution to this would be to be able to que-up for everything vs/with pure AI-played chars.
I wouldn’t mind that in pve activites, and I actually have more fun in comp stomp than normal pvp cause normal pvp is just super stressfull… I’m “too old” (Brainwise, not agewise) to deal anymore… :frog:

I think the issue there would be the tuning of the AI healer/tank combination. Too strong and players will complain that they don’t have to do anything and too weak and they’ll complain to the high heavens because they’ll have to actually avoid standing in the fire or interrupting!

This is a problem as old as the game. Even before the auto-queue system was introduced in Wrath you could be waiting for hours to get a healer or a tank for your group unless you ran with guildies.

If i ever see bots implemented by blizzard in bgs i will permanenly quit pvp, and since i like random bgs alot this probably lead to me playing wow way less or not at all. PVP means player versus player. If you want to do pve then go to m+ or raids

Ofcourse brawls like comp stomp excluded. I’d rather wait a long time for a healer or have a group without a healer at all than being forced to lose because i have bots on my team.

And oh yeah guess wich faction would get the bots? The alliance because they have a smaller playerbase for end game content. Wich is why the alliance has a way shorter queue time

100% agree. It’d just be “a” solution, basically a problem-bandaid; the bandaid itself is not curing the wound tho, just kinda hiding it and preventing some dirt etc from getting in…

I’d personally like AI as an option, but I 100% get the problems with it too as you say.
It’s a tough cookie.

  • Most queues are broken → no they are not broken, it’s just supply and demand. If you are a meta-gamer trying to play what’s popular, you will get longer queues.
  • random BG takes ages → just join as mercenary when your faction has long queues
  • solo shuffle takes ages (years) → join as healer or at least don’t flame other healers so they continue joining.
  • dungeon queues take ages > join as healer / tank.

The PvP scene is pretty much dead in WoW. According to Drustvar there is only just a bit over 3000 people, in total, with 2k or higher rating in Arena. That’s both faction and all of EU.

Solo Shuffle is doing better. But queue times are enormous there because healers hate it. Some estimates over on the US forums claimed it was 200dps to 1 healer. Edit: Also “Meta” specs have longer wait time since the queue system prioritizes adding as many unique spec/classes as possible.

This expansion is also one of the few times that the Alliance outnumber the Horde in PvP. Pretty substatially at that too. At the moment it is almost 3/2 in the favor of the alliance. At least in Arena.

BG’s are a bit of a mystery. But some estimates i’ve seen put the daily active EU players at around 8,000 players split between both factions.

Queue times are too long

Reason: You are a dps player;
Normal dungeons/Heroic(especially heroic) are unpopular, support roles are rare, even in popular modes, dps demand is way lower than the supply, solo shuffle needs healers for example

Ways to solve: Okay, so you want queues to get fixed, right?

As they say, be the change you want in the world. You want quicker queues? Become a tank or try healing. You don’t want to? Why would you want people to do something you aren’t willing to do? - It won’t happen while we keep telling others what to do without being willing to act. - That’s coming from someone who has barely played dps in queued content since 9.0.
Way #2: Add AI companions - I don’t think people will want that much, unless it works like trusts in FFXI/FFXIV
Way #3: Business as usual. People like you keep complaining and nothing changes - The current thing.

Try a healer. They are surprisingly relaxing and easy to play. Atleast for m+ and raiding.

i can only say to this that wow priva servers soloq times are 2-5min for dps

it does make me wonder why people would sit 30-50min on something they have to pay when the other is free

i had 130min que yday on demo and i lost moti to continue play more for that day i just log out and went do other things, its a video game and i dont want to sacrifice big portion of my day to use this much on waiting for 1 que

people have lives and other things they want to do too than sit and wait for hour for 1 que

When I played on private servers with 400 online the random hc queue was 10-15 minutes so the dropping player count is really not the reason for that. If pvp queues are long it’s either because of disparity in roles or because people simply don’t like running said content.

Let me guess you are dps? Nope not broken there is too much dps, less tanks, less healers thats why your Qeus are too much.

And how exactly?

Solo shuffle - is down to nobody playing healers. The only fix would be either delete healer role fron pvp or force players to play healer.

BGs - major imbalance in factions. Solution force players to play the lower pop faction? Prolly unreasonable.

Dungeons - disagree i litterally just levelled this char and there were 9 minute waits as a dps

Queues are based on players and not design. You wanna play the same role 99% of others are also playing? Yah ur going to make a problem worse.

What.

I can queue for it now and get a group relatively quick, even at 5 am, at max level.

Seems very odd.

Why would people do it tho?

M0 is incredibly easy at this stage of the expansion

Noone does PvP? Speak for yourself! I only pvp. Pve m+ is so boring and repetitive that I would rather take my eyeballs off. There is a ton of ppl playing solo suffle but… 10 healers and 150 dps queing at the same time. We must wait 6-7 ss games to complete in order to join.

Hopefully you are gone sooner rather than later.

There’s better PvP games

Or be part of the solution and role yourself a healer if you want faster queues.

I guess you won’t do that though, because you know healing currently is not enjoyable, thus why the queues will only increase in time waiting.
