I didn't understand the joke, so it must have been very sophisticated...
I kind of liked the guy though. He was entertaining. Blizzard should put him on stage more often.
well, at least humour vs sjw's is balanced..:p

Nah, we do fine playing the game without all the safe places the Horde gets.03/11/2018 10:27Posted by Hesperax03/11/2018 08:56Posted by NathanielIt’s just a joke. Come on.
Alliance need some safe place...

The 'offended' part in my opinnion comes mainly from the fact, that faction imbalances are a continuously growing, serious problem and them handling it as a joke shows how ignorant they are.
Well, I can't blame them, a lot of stupid casuals are throwing money to them on blizzcon and through microtransactions for 'skins' and other crap and even those 'skins' are just simple recolored versions, they didn't even had to put any work behind some paid skins...
unless they start losing profits, they can and will do things, that compliments the masses of idiots, so they pay more for them. Cracking a simple, but deeper inside a quite cruel joke on a practically 'minority' faction is just one drop in the ocean.
They've changed too much since they've merged or whatever they did with Activision...
I really do not get that comment. When i play battleground we win almost every time and i have been alliance from tanaan jungle in WOD.
as Horde we almost lost every time.
So that comment was truly missplaced

I am not sure I understood the reference either, but I was thinking maybe it had something to do with being outnumbered in Warmode?
I don't do PvP so might be why I didn't understand more than it having to do with PvP, and that is was a joke...

That hurt....gg Blizz.

It's just a joke for the horde drones, to have a cheap laugh at the alliance, the audience Blizz is catering for a while now.
Lok' tar, for the horde etc.

Hahahahahahaha. You're onnly making yourself more of a target by acting like this. Alliance and their victim complex. Hilarious.03/11/2018 11:57Posted by LinirIt's just a joke for the horde drones, to have a cheap laugh at the alliance, the audience Blizz is catering for a while now.

Yeah, joking about your company being so incompetent that everyone faction-changes if they want to have equal footing is so fun. It started back in TBC, when you had to be Horde if you wanted to play retri paladin, thanks to seal of blood, but eh whatever.
I'm just glad Blizzard is tumbling down. They deserve that mobile Diablo back-lash so much.

As much as I personally am not phased by the comment, since I'm not a pvper. I do think it was in bad taste as people explained above.
Not so much because of the nature of the joke, but the fact that a development team made it. It shows they are aware of it as an issue(or at-least know people think its an issue) and are actively mocking it rather than fixing it.
I personally pay little attention to statistics since I do not play competetively anyway. However, it is worth remembering that should the Alliance decline be as significant as people claim(its not on Argent Dawn, so I cannot say much) then it'll have reprecussions for the Horde as well.
Not to mention use your basic humanity and realize that everyone should go on this game and have fun, not just you. Its quite disgusting to look at this forum at times. People mocking others for wanting something that brings them fun just because they dont want it. You're not the only person on this earth, buddo.

That's what every BlizzCon is. Retarded horde-wanking from horde-playing devs. At least this year they didn't have anyone come in and say Alliance is for faqqots, like they did in 2011.

And the fact that they dont even try to hide that they are all pro horde is what makes it worse, they clearly understand the issue but have done nothing.
Cant wait for faction balance questions to be ignored in the QnA

Reading this thread and other ones it makes me think Blizzard shouldn't have put it in. It just adds fuel to fire.
Some players already are so (extremely) devoted to their faction, it makes me wonder if they actually genuinely dislike the real person behind the character for playing the opposite faction.

DEATH TO THE HORDE!
jk, the current faction balance issue is less about lore based devotion and more about the fact that it affects gameplay by a lot which it shouldnt. Playing alliance is like playing with a handicap.
Also damn I just checked the 2011 blizzcon video, imagine what kind of horde bias you must have to allow a video that 40% of its time had to be bleeped because it uses a ton of derogatory terms for the alliance playerbase...

Faction balance is not a problem for Blizzard. They are simply glad that the Horde is majority, because they always liked them better and they get to make money from Alliance players who want to play WoW seriously and have to faction-change. There is no disadvantage for playing horde, while there are many and more for playing Alliance.
And when we could have some advantage, it gets removed, just look at mercenary mode, Alliance could have had much shorter queues for bgs which could motivate some people to level Alliance characters and what happens? Horde can get shorter queues too, of course, it wouldn't be fair otherwise.
Ah, Blaming Blizzard for the incompetence of your faction. Typical Alliance. Pathetic.03/11/2018 13:28Posted by NorthgraveYeah, joking about your company being so incompetent that everyone faction-changes if they want to have equal footing is so fun.
