Took me 20 minutes to get it, just fly up in the sky to the co-ords of it and spam the macro for it. It does it for you and you get it. Just watch something whilst you have wow open and are spamming your button. Goes fairly quickly.
dont make it BoE, then all noobs with 5k gold on them get the mount. Also, to actually catch that thing you gotta be the first out of however many people are also spamming the same macro you are spamming.

The lasso does have a maximum range, so if your goal is to spam it, you’ll need to be the right position at the right time.
This doesn’t even make sense. The lasso is just a random drop. It’s not like it takes skill to obtain.

I’ve had it drop on all my characters, it’s not like it’s a rare item.

If you make it a BoE more people will obtain it. I’ve only had it drop on 1 char and I got 5 alts.

The problem is not the lasso, it’s the mindless macro spamming.
You don’t have to be first, you just have to be quick as it despawns quickly after the first lasso hits him.
Well, in my case the other 2 guys were semi-afk and it despawned a second after I lassoed him, so u pretty much have to be on the trigger for more than an hour I think.
Dont get me wrong, I like free stuff just like any other. But once u get something u dont wanna give it away for free, u know. LateStageCapitalism

I went to the spot at like 8:50 pm on Saturday waited the invasion changes and got it for a total of 10 min effort.
I… I’m not sure what’s the harm in more people obtaining something rare. More players out there happy with a new addition to their collection, and those who already have it can go on about their day. Confusing.

I’m sorry if I don’t want to spend 30-60 minutes, possibly longer, idling in the air spamming the same macro over and over. Lazy has nothing to do with it. It’s a complete waste of time, so let me sell it to someone who thinks it’s worth it. That’s all I’m asking for.

my friends and i have had it dropped on at least a couple of alts so it really doesnt seem too rare as you try to make it out to be.
the only thing what makes it “prestigeous” would be because you have to sit x amount of time on spot x to get it. not everyone wants to waste their time like that.
Tbh I didn’t mind the lasso rare that much. The issue for me is that every single rare in 8.3 that drops anything of value (mounts obv) has a gigantic respawn time. Even in Mechagon and Naz’jatar the rares that drop mounts don’t spawn that often.
Now I don’t mind a mount from a rare actually being rare. But a 1% drop rate on a rare that spawns every 2 hours is just crazy.
I’d be alot more pleased if they made them spawn every 5 minutes so you could actually get a kill once a day and hope for the best instead of camping a spawn point for 2 hours.

This would definitely make it more bearable, especially considering you have no idea how long you’ll be afking in the air for in its current form.

Got it first mogu I’ve killed during the introduction quest on this character. My other 3 chars I do stuff on though… Haven’t ever seen it.
