[Zandalari RP] Painted Shields 🛡

what a beautiful beast

I didn’t see the dire troll but saw the yells cheering about it. It was pretty neat and atmospheric as if the Zandalari brought a thing of marvel from Zuldazar to the city of the savages.

They say that Witch Doctors commit terrible acts and profane rituals in order to receive the powerful knowledge they bear both into battle and amongst their own.

Little do ‘they’ know however of the efficiency of licking poisoned toads.

If Zandalar did bumps, they would be the best bumps in the world.

Chronicler Je’khal’s Historic Anecdotes #6021

… Once more the Horde proved to be in dire need of the Cohort’s military expertise. Thus, it became to be that the seemingly endless rows of golden plate and crimson plumes ventured alongside their allies to the bygone and ruinous kingdom of the Gurubashi. _

The awe in the eyes of both orc, tauren, and forsaken were apparent as they took note of the superiority of the Zandalari’s conduct, be that in battle or merely through our mastery over diplomacy. With the guidance of Tetrarch Teocalli’s blessed tongue and wit, the forsaken leader known as High Executor Pe’roh was able to disarm the entirety of the Zulian traitors lingering within the region. Furthermore, the Tetrarch was quick to establish order within the Horde ranks and swiftly carved deep into the lands of our enemies. Thousands upon thousands Alliance soldier fell to the steel and spell of the 7th Cohort alone. Those who didn’t die either begged for mercy or fled into the darkness of the vile Alliance woods.

Alas, whilst our victory and dominance over the Alliance is undeniable and unquestionable, there were many wounded amongst our allies, especially the elves cried out for mending and the prospect of retreat. Whilst we Zandalari remained steadfast and stern upon this foreign ground, the Tetrarch were left with no other choice than to return to the bygone lands of the Gurubashi when the entirety of the Stormwind army rode towards our unrelenting golden front, even their so-called ‘King’ was in their midst, galloping on top of a donkey clad in fool’s gold…

Exactly how it went down. I was there.

I wasn’t even there and I am convinced of the validity of this chronicle.

Jek’hal, you are a true historian.

Ai see what’s happenin’ here,
Ya face ta face wid greatness, and it’s strange!
Ya don’t even know how ta kneel! It’s adorable.
Well it’s nice ta see the tribals never change.

Straighten ya back, we’ll begin!
Yes, I’m what you see! Zandalari! Take it in.
I know it’s a lot, de hair, de bod!
When ya sharin’ air wid demi-gods!

What can ai say, except - di’chuka!
For ya tribes, ya gods, ya lives.
'ey it’s okay, okay, Di’chuka!
It’s just our place to teach the lesser tribes!

Whose silver-tongue taught Shadra to lie,
So you could catch out elf spies?
Us guys!

When ya jins got old,
Who sent them safe to Otha Side?
We’re born to be ya guides!

Dye! Rastakhan splashed in the sun,
Di’chuka!
To make day golden and darkness run!

Also we mapped out the seas!
Di’chuka!
Cured your famines with fruit from Torcali!

So what can I say except - di’chuka!
For the tribes spared from Hakkari!
If you’d like to pray, that’s okay!
Di’chuka!
Ha! I guess it’s just the Zandalari!
Di’chuka!
Di’chuka!

Well, come ta tink of it…
Mon, history? It just goes on and on!
All through time Zandalar’s taking you mons on along,

The drums, the throne, the crown,
While ya lot just been messing around!

Aman’s on fire,
Farrak’s turned to dust,
Zul’drak killed loa; ya gone totally nuts!

What be de lesson?
What be de take-away?
Listen to Zandalar or throw trollkind’s fate away!

And the gold inked in here on my skin!
Prophesies the victory’s we’ll win!
Wherever trolls been,
We made everything happen!
Look at me war-dance just tippity-tappin’,
Ah, ah, ah, eh?!

Well, anyway, let me say — Di’chuka!
For the wonderful future you’ll know,
'ey, it’s okay, okay - Di’chuka!

Chronicler Je’khal’s Historic Anecdotes #6022

…My lifelong oaths compels me to ensure the safekeeping and documentation of all deeds of unmatched grandeur committed by our proud people. Thus, with the Golden Quill of Rush’Alikh within my grasp, I once more adorn this sacred parchment, I once more ensure the timeless bellowing of our divine annals.

Vuvuzela, The Trumpet the of Loa, Entertainer of Adalar, and Kazar’tulak of the 7th Cohort, have once more made our people proud through his mastery over rhyme, wit, and our ancient blessed tongue. Without fear and with his feet sternly planted upon the foliage beneath, he stood against the towering walls of Zul’Gurub, against uncountable numbers of traitorous savages… and most importantly, he stood against the tyranny and heresy that they represent.

His words. His song. It thundered through the jungle, thundered through the very spirit of every living being. I saw tears amongst the eyes of the traitors, tears of defeat. I saw proudness amongst those loyal, their golden adornments flickering brighter than ever, as if the words sung allowed light to manifest beneath the thick darkening canopy of the jungle.

As the song reached its crescendo a thundering crack accompanied it. In this moment, hundreds of Zulian’s feel to their knees, dropping their primitive axes and makeshift spears. They all reached towards the sky in unison, admitting their blindness, their wrong doings… and then they rose, weeping as they ventured into the thick foliage of the jungle, weeping as they began their lifelong pilgrimage of redemption.

So it was that Vuvuzela, The Trumpet of the Loa, Entertainer of Adalar, and Kazar’tulak of the 7th Cohort, through the mere power of his song, guided hundreds of trolls towards the righteous path. Guided them towards the way of the Zandalari…
