Zandalari Troll - Boots Model gone?!

Today I logged onto my Zandalari Troll and noticed the model boots from Antorus Mythic set for a Paladin has changed and it doesn’t cover the whole foot anymore. Why would you do that I’m wondering since it used to look soooo badass!

Usually trolls dont show the whole boots. I assumed it was a limitation, like hooves, but maybe it’s a design choice.

It could be a fix rather than a bug.

Its far from a fix. I think they withdrew from that idea for god knows what reason, the boots were specially designed for the troll so it was definitely intentional. I can’t post links here but there’s a post on reddit about it with a picture attatched, lots of people like me not understanding this decision. I’m hoping I can get some insight on it from the Blizz rep.

Here you go, hope I got the right link.

Because anything Horde that can be a Druid can’t wear shoes and is huge when sitting on a mount thus getting stuck in every doorway.

It was a limitation in vanilla, troll feet had 2 seperate toes, tauren had hooves and other races had just foot with toes painted on the texture so you coul just replace a texture for a boot or a shoe but for trolls it didn’t work.

With WoD models characters have 2 foot variants, one with modeled spererate toes and one without for boots and shoes. But at this point it was established that trolls don’t cover their feet. Still some armors with custom 3 boots had some elements that partialy cover the foot. The example in the picture clearly shows it. It wasn’t full boot, most of the foot was uncovered only heel and toes were covered by additional pieces. And that looks much better.

Report it, report it that you want it to be changed back. Maybe they will.
