This applies to every playable races. Even mighty Gnomes have to work rep with Gnomeregan.

Same reason why every other race has to farm reputation with their home factions. You’re a nobody to them. They dont know you are immortal and have a link to the Titan Azeroth.
Or the lack of it because even after you saved the world you are still regarded as a nobody while you should be exalted with every Horde or Alliance faction by default.
Then again the player isnt exactly known to be loyal to anybody except for Azeroth herself. Give the player the choice between BiS gear and saving azeroth but you have to eradicate your faction for it what do you think the player will choose?
