Consider it equal to tier 11-12 in difficulty. If it had a recommended ilvl it’d be mythic raid gear. It’s tuned to be doable at the 600s, people have done it at 580 too.
The other you can consider equal to 7-8. He’s much easier and fitting of that level. It has a recommended 600.
Friend of mine did it with his 610 hunter (SV with 2-set). He basically said you need enough dps to nuke down the eggs before they hatch. If you can do that consistently, you have enough gear. If you don’t, you need higher ilv. Other than that he has some extra mechanics, but they are not directly related to gear in terms of how you deal with them.
After last weeks balancing it’s now doable. I did it at ilvl 611 (delve-only gear). Of course monk is the easiest class for it, but I think some other classes will also manage just fine. The cocoons are easy to kill now, especially for a ranged class.
One tip I can give, which saved my ADHD self: map all of zekvir’s casts to weak auras with Text/sound/ flash alerts. Track Unit info > select ‘cast’ > select ‘boss’ and add the spell names of his casts.
If I didn’t put some noise on his regen casts I’d still be running around in there. Baaaad attention span. Weak Auras saved me.
Priest is by far the easiest, then Ret and monk probably tied second. Priest has all the tools for the fight except is also ranged and can mostly kill the eggs whilst moving. So there’s no bad overlaps where the frontal spawns and you can’t DPS. You just kinda run around in circles and swap target every 30 seconds.
