Zereth mortis birds

Please blizzard for the love of god can you make them neutral towards us or remove half of them?

I believe they speak of the raptora birds that fly around Zereth Mortis. They aggro quite easily while one is flying near them.

That’s Blizzard’s key design. They want to make everything as miserable and frustrating as possible so the dopamine just hits better

Blizzard: replacing the “N” in “Fun” with “ck”

Agree with the OP. Can’t even idle in the air above a quest zone because some stupid raptora will dismount me then attack me on the ground after I’ve taken fall damage.

That’s not gameplay, it’s intentional annoyance. Why do this to your customers?

I’ve only had one knock me off, I didn’t even know they could do that until yesterday . I frequently fly through them wihtout issue. They just follow me to my destination or give up.

It’s like I said in another post. It is deliberate annoyance as you are often chased by a million birds, wasps or flying spiders. PS. If you have the Comfortable Rider’s Barding equipped on your mounts you should not be dismounted or even dazed, unless you are using Sky Golem, then it don’t work.

Unfortunately it does not work for the mawsworn that blast you out of the sky.

I have the riding equipment, hence my surprise when I was knocked out of the air and landed resulting in being on half health. I killed the bird for it’s audacity, but still, I didn’t think it was meant to be able to do it.

I know the dark valkyr mobs (they’ll have a proper name) knock us out of the sky regardless and they even give us a grey bubble to stop us taking fall damage.

lol never knew it stops fall damage, but then I am too annoyed to even notice. I guess I should turn around and thank them

Yeah it’s not a great place to get dismounted but it’s like ‘I HATE YOU, and thank you’

The birds won’t dismount me easily. :smirk:

On the other hand, the Mawsworn in the desert will automatically dismount you with Banishment Blast… that really should be nerfed. It’s one annoying ability even if it reduces fall damage afterwards. Makes it miserable to farm First Flowers and Progenium. :unamused:

I do not mind the birds etc that attack from the sky.
What I do not like is how long their leash is so they follow and keep you in combat for quite long. If I was not a Night elf + Hunter, I would be really pissed

I quite like that mechanic. It’s possible to avoid if you pick a good path - makes me feel like WW2 Spitfire pilot dodging the Messerschmitts.

Thank god there aren’t any Flakvierlings! :airplane:

Don’t give the devs any ideas!

Also sometimes when you’re on the ground, which is ridiculouser.

Those are the Mawsworn Heralds, in the North-East sandy area, who have a specific knock-off ability that will even dismount tanks. It doesn’t use the usual Daze mechanic. It even provides a fall-damage protection.

I agree, the birds are an attempt to mitigate the freedom of flying, just as the slow from the Great Wryms was in BfA. Neither works well. Kill it.

The ‘only had one knock me off’ was in reference to the birds.

I know that the Mawsworn are meant to dismount you.

Sorry if that was unclear.

Feel free to blame me if Blizz adds Mawtainted Rocketeers that are dominated goblins :yum:

I love it when it hurts!
