How far into campaign do I need to go to be able to go to ZM?
Just dinged but does not get the option to go there. Have done the things with my covenant so I got my first soul bind. Is there more I need to do?
Just do all story quests and it’s will lead you where you need to.

think you need to jump to korthia first, after that you can jump to ZM

First 2 chapters of 9.0 campaign, then skip Korthia intro., then start ZM intro.

Just talk to the main story quest givers again after you received a quest. I could skip 3 things in Oribos (the maw, torghast, covenant stuff) in 5 minutes of playing and ended up going to ZM. I also still have a quest to go to Korthia, but you can basically skip that entirely.

This is the kind of Alt-Unfriendly convoluted nonsense that is frustrating many players.
This type of unlock should be account wide. Story should have skips for alts where it is mandatory on your main.
Cypher Console should be Account Wide, this busy work isn’t exactly fun the first time and just soul-destroying on alts.

Talk to Bolvar. Skip Thorghast, then skip Korthia. At that point the quest to go to Zereth Mortis will pop.

I am not playing on alts anymore. SL did kill my alts

You do have a skip for ZM, both to the start of the zone, as well as to skip to instantly have the Cypher system unlocked for you.
Sadly the cypher currency is not account bound, but the researches are. You only have to wait out the research time once on your main, and then your alt have to wait 1-5 seconds to finish said research.
You still have to grind out the currency however.

The skips are welcome, although I’ve only done one covenant story so my next three alts will need to do those first, which is fine - I want to see the story.
But the currency re-grind is not good. Same goes for the Box of Many Regrinds, that should be account wide.
These zone / system (visions, Torghast etc.) Upgrade features need to be Account Wide going forward into 10.0 and beyond.

Thats how I feel about my KT druid. I just can’t bother
you have to skip the korthia intro (or you can do it, if youre insane) and then head to oribos and skip the zm intro (youll lose a small gear item and quite a bit of rep) and off you go to zm to be bored silly by dailys, have massive lag when folk doing the wb (duhhhh blizzard) and bots
you lose out on a ton of rep if you do that!
