Can someone explain. I log into a whole band of characters regularly and tonight many of my characters that normally stand in Undercity are now outside and all mobs are 80 and Zidormi who normally will change things back is no longer there. This affects characters from 60 to 80 but not all. I have level 80 and level 70 characters that are still in undercity.
Is this some kind of event that is only lasting a few weeks cus if thats the case I’ll go play something else until I can get beck in. Or do I have to speak to someone else to get back into Undercity.
It is pretty essential to me that I can use Undercity, and without it this is a game changer and kinda numbs the whole experience. I’m assuming I have to undo something or interact with someone. I have checked with Google and patch notes and I can’t see anything.
It may be because of the anniversary event that’s happening right now, but if that’s the case that’s bad news for you, since it’ll be going until January. If it’s a bug caused by the event, you can only hope that Blizz will actually do something about it and fix it.
Just curious, why the need to be in Undercity? Is there something in particular there that you can’t find in other cities?
The patch triggered a problem with characters I have that never did BFA. So what I am having to do is go and accept the BFA quest and then tell the guy I’ve seen it all before and then Zidormi appears. Like so many things in this game its bugged, but hey they obviously don’t test stuff do they. We have to work it out for ourselves as ever.
And for serious RPG Undercity is essential, personally without it I wouldn’t play this game.
a long shot but have you tried instead to go to chromie and go to bfa expansion timeline and normally do the starting bfa quest instead of going to the guy and tell him that you have seen it all . and then go to undercity and see if zidormi shows up .
in any case i hope your problem is solved one way or another .it is never fun when a bug shows up out of nowhere .
edit : also looking at a youtube video .somebody from a month ago has commented that they had to run through the Lordaeron series of quests. but this is a month ago comment so not sure if it is relevant to current situation .
KInda what I did. Trouble is before this patch my characters were happily stationed in Undercity. It is obvious that the patch changed something cus all the characters of a higher level that I have that hadn’t done BFA were sitting outside of Undercity and there was no woman to interact with. So I went through my first dozen or so chars last night, all mages and did this:
Portal to Org: Interact with guy by the side of that chromie board, accept quest for BFA, see Sylvanas, skip cinematic, go to inn, accept quest for BFA again but click the guy to tell him i had done it before, ported to the BFA zone complete quest at harbor, portal back to Undercity, die immediately, count the skeletons of mine on the floor, res outside Undercity, change my flying to proper flying so I don’t smack straight into some Level 80 bears, hover over the lady that has now appeared, and revert to sensible mode, portal to Undercity and all is back to normal, rinse repeat a dozen times before I lost the will to live. I have had to leave this character in Org cus I have never done a quest on this char and to do that would destroy my own pers challenge of many years.
All I ask of Blizzard is when you change something maybe you could check what you had done. Any number of mage characters that level through say Dragonflight never doing BFA but have a portal to Undercity are going to suffer insta death when they get to Undercity and scratch their head when there is no woman to interact with. Its not hard is it.
Bit like moving the whole map datum level in Arathi up about four feet making the arch on Thondrel Span below ground. Been like it for years, reported numerous times, ignored, giving the impression they don’t care. I could list any number of issues that get ignored, I’m sure we all could. Its not like we are paying for this … oh wait !
