Zin Rokh weapon enchant interaction with Death knight runes

Hi, has anyone tried enchanting Zin Rokh on a Death Knight while it already carries an enchantment? If placing a rune on the weapon removes the existing enchant, is this not a really annoying mechanic considering something like Landslide is still extremely expensive, and this effectively means you need to choose between using this weapon on a DK and only that, or use it on a paladin/warrior only, and never be able to use it on a DK?

I’m somewhat new to the forums so not sure if anyone has brought this up before, but shouldn’t there be some sort of mechanism that simply mutes any enchantment on the weapon once you place a DK rune on it? This way you can actually enjoy it on all 3 classes.

I don’t think this even exists on retail. So i’d doubt it existing on Cata Classic.
Just gotta choose which class to use it on for now & then change enchant when you get a replacement.

But using Landslide on DK would be an enormous dps loss.
1000AP vs 15% str. You’d lose thousands of dps, so i would use no enchant on your warrior. I don’t know their bis stats, but could be worth using a 346 instead and enchant it with a cheaper one.

Yeah I’m aware fallen crusader is way better than Landslide, It’s just an absurd lack of QoL, not sure if that was by design or just an oversight. I’ve just decided to landslide it and use it on my warrior and paladin, and use another weapon for my DK’s blood spec, as I’ll be MS Frost anyway.

Theres not that many BoA weapons you switch between characters.
It’s the Archaeology weapons, heirlooms you can just make as many as you want and enchant them differently.

So probably just not worth prioritizing. As the development time to add dynamic enchants on weapons that activates based on class. Then also fixing potential bugs, would be quite alot of time.
