Seriously? Are you ever gonna learn Blizzard? Ever heard that unhappy people are the loudest? They are not the voice for the whole community. Alot of us waited a long time for such an event and it was so fun. Hazzikostas said it himself, if you dont like certain aspect of wotlk, you get to play shadowlands!!!

I hope you didn’t miss the fact that things are getting completely out of hand with those zombies. Npc’s are getting infected, they change into a zombie which stays around and the npc respawns again, gets infected etc. Haven’t you seen the tons of zombies being created that way?
You don’t even have to be a zombie yourself to see how bad things can get without the “help” of players. These incredible amounts of zombies will lag servers before they eventually crash servers.
I don’t think it has anything to do with players being unhappy, it has everything to do with what the event does with the game servers themselves.

They dont do anything with the server, stop with that bs. Its supposed to be an invasion when you are facing the undead king. It happens once every 15 years stop crying or go to retail.

Look regardless of whether you agree with the OP or not I was hoping to see the story event play out, we’re meant to meet Putress with a short questline that introduces him which then helps resolve the plague. Putress is a major story element to this entire expansion, infact he’s one of the major lore characters because not only is he directly involed in the Wrathgate which leads to the the Siege of Undercity but to the plague the forsaken have been making since vanilla.
Please don’t skip over story elements because people are whinging. I rarely if ever post but this is a silly way to end the event, abruptly, with out any resolution or columination of the story we’re meant to be presented with.
We’re also meant to see Thrall duel Garrosh in the ring of valor for the mantle of Warchief, the Stormwind Harbour come under siege by Frostwyrms. Please don’t skip over the story! They’re one time story events you can only find in 240p on youtube.

Has nothing to do with being in agreement or not, i’ve seen the large zombie populations being fed by respawning npc’s, it will eventually crash the servers if no one eliminates them.
I’m not saying that i like or don’t like the zombie event at all, haven’t said anything about my preferences about that at all on this entire forum.
There’s been several times where players managed or tried to manage server crashes in retail a few years ago by having everyone online go to the same spot, some succeeded, some were interfered by blizzard.

Nah, its more important for minmaxing boomers to put up their 1 item stack on ah, they are not paying 15 dollars a month to die to zombies in a fantasy video game.

YOU are missing MY point. Who says the story doesn’t get played out?? I just don’t believe it’s ppl getting annoyed by the zombies that is their reason for ending it that’s it.
The only thing you’re doing is complaining about complaining because at this point you don’t know if the story is being played out or not.
We’re literally not seeing it being played out. Saying “No u!” doesn’t remedy that. The next stage is meant to escalate to a point where Shattrath is the only safe haven and we’re forced to deliever to a message to Putress then a weapon back to Varian you can read about each stage on wowhead in detail. There’s an entire guide for it.
While this is happening, there’s meant to be a reoccuring event where Thrall duels Garrosh in the ring of valor and Varian defends the Stormwind docks from frostwyrms. Since these aren’t happening, since they literally aren’t right of as this moment given the next stage of the event has seemingly been canceled and the plague has been switched off it’s pretty clear they’re turned one thing off (the plague) but with it the pre wrath story events meant to come next.
Even if they don’t turn the plague back on I would like to actually see the story of the game I’m playing.

NPC, who can be turned into zombies, count is limited and before they die as a zombie they won’t respawn. It is all about players numbers, you said, but player numbers stay the same regardless zombies or not, so you are talking nonsense.

Maybe they turned it off because servers were collapsing … who knows why until they say anything…
