Ridiculous, you expect a new player to the game to understand this or even be aware? I was not aware of event and I go to the website daily -I play daily. Had no idea what was happening or how to navigate it!

Just in case this helps - I’m levelling a new character and the event is fine.
The complete loss of similar spontaneous events is exactly why retail is a stale, dead place. Optimise, optimise, get bored of raid logging, quit.

To be fair, retail has way more to do than in the classic games. I remember that people complained alot in OG Wotlk that there wasn’t anything to do, for example. And we’ve had more invasion type events.
Endgame in Classic is basicly nothing more than raiding or PvP-ing.

After Dark Souls, this zombie event is like a children’s party.
Did only once? How about Legion invasion? Everyone with an IQ above average (unlike you obviously) enjoyed it quite much.
Monthly events would be fine, as long as they don’t impact the playing experience.
Sadly this one does, because of what was already in place due to a massive mistake by Blizzard. It isn’t the event’s fault, but it is impactful on people leveling.
Biting people who try to queue into BGs and exploding at the AV gate is the best fun that we’ve had in ages. I hope this lasts still several days!

Booty Bay is pretty much a dead area on Pyrewood.
It’s a crock of 
when you can’t reach either a class trainer or zep in your major city, or you get tagged by an elite zombie who simply refuses to lose aggro. Time to quit.
The thing is… Some people don’t have much game time, and are struggling to get to 70 before the 26. This Event is just put at a extremely bad time, and the fact that they couldn’t figure that out is so sad.
Yes it is fun for people who already have leveled the heroes they want to 70. but for the rest it just wrecked 1 of 2 weekends to try and get to 70!
