Becaues you’re technically just counted as a pet. And any hunter knows, if your pet kills it without you, the player, damaging it, you wont get loots.

To be perfectly fair, the rare bosses are a TWO week long event. But I get your point
I’m playing on Draenor like Croil and haven’t seen a single griefing so far. Maybe it’s different for Alliance players tho since I barely see any (2-3 for 30+ Horde).
Probably people can escape the whole affair by moving to another shard.

Okay just as I said I didn’t see it on draenor it just happened right now couldn’t loot Ingvar but honestly it was quite fun.
My only issue is they can infect me while im not pvp but I can’t attack them.
I’ve not seen any infected zombies in icecrown today on Kazzak, but we were getting some griefing when trying to kill Nathanos earlier. I was infected by two other people, and eventually I was the last zombie standing, and a paladin seemed to understand my plight when I didn’t attack anybody and killed me so I could join back in the fight against Nathanos. I admit it was quite funny, standing there sadly while a paladin beat me up, lol.
They seem to have done some kind of fix where PvP now turns off sooner after you leave OG/SW though, so that’s a step in the right direction.

Just get good mate, it sounds like a you issue if you can’t kill a zombie before it explodes with 50 people at the rare or if you can’t phase out.
Firnedly tip: when you cc a zombie the “explode” cast is canceled.

That will happen regardless of your PvP flag, or your War Mode flag. I got infected and PvP flagged after teleporting into Boralus after a Mythic+ run. Got infected and stood confused in place, and waited to die.
