Zovall is the Primus the leader of Maldraxxus and The Primus is Zovaal the Jailer of the damned??
Evidences from the trailer for shadowlands show pointy shadow with the crown ,and an old art shows that the jailer looks like primus?
Could it be that we are tricked, and that its not all as it seems, well 9.2.5 cinematic wil show it but would be nice twist of events
Nah he is what we have seen. Its wow man…its dogno story with the most obvious way always beign the true one. Speculating is fun but it was never even close to the trash they put out.
Remember when we said that sylvanus cannot be redeemed…look now.we are doing raid with her…continuing to listen to her idiotic speeches in every single cinematic they have put out aince legion…etc etc.
Steve Danuser will save SL lore
Just wait and see

There is a long discussion about this on Wowhead:

I was wondering about the Primus myself and the fact that Zovaal is just a machine basically. It would be good if the Wowhead article turns out to be true and all of our actions in the Shadowlands actually turns out to be disastrous and we have almost destroyed Azeroth.
It would be good if we actually lost for a change and the next expansion can set up the rebuilding of Azeroth and the rebuilding of relationships. Perhaps 9.2.5 can shed some light on this.
What’s most likely is that Blizzard had some preliminary story ideas for Shadowlands that were later scrapped and replaced with that which we have today, but you can still find the “leftovers” in the game.
And there’s certainly a lot of that with regards to The Primus. His final model was likely decided upon after Blizzard had already made the statues in Maldraxxus and the model for the Runecarver.
Warlords of Draenor had a lot of this. There’s some Bronze Dragons and time travel stuff going on in Nagrand, but it goes nowhere and stands as a testament to the fact that Blizzard made major changes to the storyline during development.
I think that’s what we’re seeing with Shadowlands. Blizzard might have been working on one storyline at first and then shifted to another one (perhaps to adapt to changing gameplay design).
It would of course be nice if Blizzard are about to unfold some amazing master plan, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
I saw this on WoWhead as well.
I thought it was an interesting theory, but then I realised that I just wanted to be reading some World of Warcraft Lore and not some random drivel about whatever trash Blizzard have been coming up with recently.
Imagine the story being so bad that the playerbase believes its a conspiracy…the man behind the man behind the man.
