I’ve lost all my online chars a few hours ago. It was an assassin 60+ and a sorcerer 20+. Is there any chance I’ll get them back?

GO to This PC > Local Disc (C:) > Users > yourname > saved games > Diablo II Resurrected …if there are files that look like…yourcharactername.ctlo …or yourcharactername.keyo…aswell with characters with the ending …online.ma0…etc …then please stop posting bullshiits > all your chaaracters are still there and the issue is that u just cannot connect ur online characters to the server .Thus they appear…lost!

of course i did not delteted it. otherwise i deleted alle other offlienc hars from before like too.

Actually there is an issue with corupted offline saves, so the files are there but you won’t see the char in offline mode. You can’t create char with the same name (as obviously the char with the same name already exist in the save folder) and if you are lucky as me, you have to delete shared stash file in order to be able to at least create new character and play again as otherwise I am getting “failed to join” message in offline mode. This can happen after game crases anytime…

So tomorrow will be two weeks since my sorc disappeared, there is still no reasonable explanation from officials or technical support on this matter.
I also understand from recent communication that the problem persists with a lot of other players losing their characters and or progress over the last couple of days. Servers are still unstable three weeks after the release and I get the impression the game just was not ready for release. Quite disappointed given Blizzard has a track record of unsuccessful launches with technical issues, and while I understand servers break down in the first hours, even days, after release - I really wonder how you would not have a proper backup functionality in place.
For a game like D2R players´ time invested and RNG when it comes to drops really makes a difference and losing progress and items due to your inability to implement proper safeguards really ruins it.

Yeah, so my 2 online chars just went away, happend 2 minutes ago.
I logged out and in again and they were gone.

I found all my online characters were gone too just now. But seeing as the game seems to take quite a while to connect, I have to wonder whether it is just failing to load character data.

Look at the people that have lost at least a char, and tell us again that it is our fault instead of admitting something goes wrong with your servers…

Online chars not showing up, but able to log into battlenet, and offline chars are showing :slight_smile: Playing on PC EU

i was playing? normally. closed down the game and my chars was gone. how is that a deletion? i mouse was never EVER near the delete button. you have to restore that char, i am not gonna start over. i am a noob and it has taken me forever to lvl up my pala just to 74… if i have to start over i am out… simple as

I lost my two online charakter after i couldn’t sign up for 4 days . This is Beta for 40E. Diablo 2: Disaster. Never more Blizzard.
