I can not name and therefore create a new hero in Diablo 3.
lol wtf, just bought an expansion for about 35€ and cant create a new character, are u kidding me?
Wasted £35 on this trash to play with my sister. And can’t even create a character under any name. What a joke!!

Have the same problem here.
And even begin to have gpu spikes, like im running on a old GT 550 card from mid 2000 
The same with me, I’m Asian and can’t create character with any Asian Name 
how is this still not fixed??
Because all of the Devs are in the Pacific time-zone of the USA, where it’s currently 07:30 PST, so they haven’t even seen the threads about it yet. (There are dozens of threads about this on the US Bug Report / US Technical Support forums). It’ll still be a couple of hours before they notice, and most likely hours after that for it to be fixed, which means that in terms of UTC and CET, it might not be fixed until tomorrow.
If someone is still looking for way to deal with this bug, just mash your enter key with chosen name for like a minute and then it should work.
When i create a new hero the game doesn’t accept any name. I tried john and marc and random sequence but everytime i get:
“This name contains restricted or inapropriate words (code:316002)”
I tried it 2 minutes ago and it looks like the problem is fixed.
