Ok, I probably wasn’t paying enough attention but today I read on the internets that seasonal content will only be valid while the season goes. And believe me or not - it just killed most of my desire to continue playing said season. I think it should actually be a HUGE disclaimer before you start your seasonal character so that folks like me won’t even bother playing it.
What is the reason behind developing a fun mechanic that enriches the gameplay only to remove it from the game after 3 months? Have it changed? Refined after 3-month public testing? Nope, removed from the game forever. WHY?
Now i’m not a hardcore player and i don’t have time to level all classes in just 3 months to see what interesting stuff i can do with those malignant hearts, i doubt i’ll manage to level one. Especially knowing that this mechanic is temporary like that, why bother?
It’s a money grab, first you make a game the lacks content, then you get people to play on a Seasonal character to experiencing a tiny bit more content, then some of those people pay for a battle-pass due to fear of missing out = money.
Any significant permanent content releases will be behind an expansion = money.
Give it 5 years and this game will be where it should have been on release day, inflating the cost of the full game significantly = money.
It’s a sorry state for a game from an AAA studio, although that rating is becoming questionable now as many free-to-play low-budget games easily surpass Bliz’d recent releases.
Everything goes to the eternal realm after 3 months and after its over you will NEVER be able to get those hearts again. In path of exile its been like this for a decade.
I don’t play Diablo 4 anymore, I’ve long since quit after trying my hardest to enjoy it.
I am however still invested in watching the development of the game and hope it improved into something I might want to play in the future. 4 patches and I’m no closer to that, although I am excited by the employment of four new team leaders.
Do you call everyone who’s opinions you do not agree with a troll? That’s not very mature of you. Rather troll like yourself. A brief look at your profile shows you have very few opinions of your own and just go around calling everyone trolls, what a joke.
Sad thing is that you again you draw wrong conclusions. I was just comparing gameplay with writing on forums. I didn’t write that there is nothing else besides that.
There is a new type of Diablo player, the one who has been enjoying Diablo games for decades, investing thousands of hours into the franchise and finds only a few hours into Diablo 4 that its better to quit playing. They killed the franchise for many, myself included. The fun is over.
We won’t stop you from leaving. But looking at more of your posts said more than enough. Why don’t you make a better game then? I’ll gladly try it out.
