I played poe1 6 months ago and was disappointed. I felt like the game is a mess. And old-fashioned.
Poe 2 today, it’s amazing. They just improved everything I disliked
The combat requires tactics and is slow but much more demanding and dangerous than in d4. I was saying this about D4 since day 1. Many monsters. All of them useless and weak.
The active passive and reinforcement skills are very modest but they do the job. It’s exciting to get new buffs because they are impactful. Not like d4 skill tree.
The bosses are amazing.
The number and quality of items stays weak and low for a long time. Then when u receive an item it matters.
30$ dollars for this. Amazing.
Not buying anymore d4 expansions or whatever until something drastic is done. Bottom line bye d4. That’s a shame. Like losing a parent
It’s a pity that Blizzard is releasing such a product at such a price. I don’t buy extensions from them anymore. I am very sorry that I bought an unfinished product and an extension for it for such a price
Are you serious? I bet 90% people who play PoE, first played D1 or D2 and then got dissapointed by D3 and D4. That’s the reason why we are all here. We love (still) Diablo franchise but since Blizzard chose the path of greed, there is no hope anymore, at least in nearest future. Megan Fox advertising Diablo… oh come on, you can’t be that blind.
This is not going to be forever this is just because it’s early game and not much power creep did damage to the game
I’m also really enjoying slow and tactical gameplay…
but reality is it’s gonna be disaster same as it was in POE one
This one actually they did a incredible job with bosses the movement the impac of the boss hits is there it feels good
when you compare it to d4 bosses that were basically copy pasta of WOW with D3
that’s next lvl arpg.
I didn’t spend 30 euro for this because GGG gave it to me for free
i’m a looong loong time support pack buyer so it was kinda coming my way
Early access for POE 2 is incredible game is smooth and fun
But i’m still going to play casualy D4 seasons cause everything has it’s pluses and minuses
Blizzard need to take a good look at POE 2 and copy paste as much as possible in to their game cause right now POE 2 is next Generation APRG its so much more engaging and the boss fights honestly make D4 look like a indy title.
D4 should be able to be salvaged but dam GGG just spent them to back to the drawing board again…
What I’m actually curious about is which game would be more popular if both had the same price tag.
Also, every class in PoE2 uses mana, like seriously? xD
You should try it. If you are a Diablo 1 and 2 fan then you’ll really like POE 2. I never played POE but coming closer to POE 2 release I began to read up on it and apparently it’s supposed to be the natural successor to D2.
Personally, I was really disappointed with D4, I felt it was shallow and boring and felt really wooden to play.
I haven’t been paid by the POE company but I can tell you that in the 2-3 hours I have played POE 2 with my son I’ve had more fun than the entirety of my time with D4 and I’ve gotten through 2 seasons. The customization in POE and character development is really fun and makes you think about what you’re doing, which is what games should do.
Anyway enjoy D4 if it’s still fun, after all that’s what it’s about right?
I don’t speak for every PoE player, but i have spent a lot more money in PoE than in Diablo. Even if i add price of D3, Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer, i still spent more money in PoE. I just believe they deserve.
And i was definitely a Diablo player. I played D3 for over 3k hours, i played D2 a lot and of course i played D4. After i was disapointed with D4 i started Playing PoE, a year ago. And now i have moved to the opposing team.
So, i played PoE 20 times less than any Diablo game, but i spent much more money in PoE. Justice.
Where is the problem? It’s the same in Diablo 2. Giving every class different resource is a lazy design, because it’s much easier to balance. It’s the only reason it’s there. Locked skills, weapons and aspects are the same case. It’s only for balancing purpose, however it took them 1,5 year to get to decent balance state (except Spiritborn).
i’m here cause i’m a diablo/Wow veteran 20+ years blizzard player.
I only state obvious that when a game is good people will talk about it and you don’t even need megan fox or haily to sing a song about lilith
But i’m also a POE player cause i really like GGG aproach to the ARPG genre
both games are amazing and when one is lacking the other one is giving you…
just a simple example
POE 2 bosses are way way above anything D4 released since it was actually released
only 2 bosses in D4 i enjoyed fighting were lilith and VoH last boss where you were helping ASLAN to banish a DOG
Good game can defend itself. So if Diablo is so good than go play and don’t bother. Maybe you can get a pet or christmas boost just for login or whatever.
