Reporting me for writing one swear word with a * in is very sad, whoever did that, well done for being an internet policeman, got me suspended for about 12 hours, heroic.

I’ve never been reported so I’m just speculating but if you were banned due to someone reporting you wouldn’t you receive some kind of notification of the ban and the reason for it?

Yes I got the notification my account was locked for the message being flagged, it showed me the message and said banned until 7am. The reason was obscene language. You have a swear word also in this topic with a * in. Maybe you should remove it before someone decides to get you banned also. Lets draw a line under this anyway I dont come to the forums with the intention of arguing with anyone.

I suspected as much. And I agree that whoever did it, it was a stupidly petty move. Experts agree that swearing has a valuable place within our language and is actually more likely to be used by intelligent people than others :stuck_out_tongue:

But yeah, line drawn. Despite what people might think I don’t come on here to argue with people either so best we put the whole matter to bed and get back to proper constructive discussions

this topic is not in the latest discussions, BUT am i the only one who think that blizzard should learn possibility mathematics more. Like even the basics. Each event is independent, hence each event has the same probabilities. This is basic probability. If I was a bad person I would say this is stuff that people learn in school, but I’m not. I’m a nice guy. :slight_smile:

Predicting the chances of the same outcome 3 times in a row is different, but it doesn’t change that each individual occurrence has the same probability of any given result. You could literally flip a heads 100 times in a row, each flip would still be a 50/50 chance, even on the 100th flip, the likelihood of 100 in a row before the event is not the same thing

I too read it as a single event that consisted of 3 instances of brawl. it’s a 1.56% occurrence (or 1 in 64).

however, if I insert that result into jokke’s post:

then he’s asking the question “how is it possible that something possible happens?”

I get that a percent and a half isn’t likely. but unlikely enough to make a post (and in consequence: a fuss) about it? I doubt it.

I’m not sure what your objection is. With or without the keyword, the result of the events is the same and shows how nonsensical jokepappa’s inference about basic math is.

It’s a keyword because it is key to the content of what he was saying. Without the word, his message would mean something different. Don’t know what’s unclear here to be honest.

Without it, they would be 3 singular events, each 1/4 chance.
But since he said they happened in a row, you have to multiply 1/4 by 1/4 and then by 1/4 again.
I mean, Khisana already covered this…
