I’ve recently been experiencing a recurring issue that was previously rare but has now occurred multiple times in a row since the latest patch. This problem involves unexpected disconnections without any in-game notification or reconnection attempt, leading to match losses.
Normally, if the game loses connection, it informs the player and attempts to reconnect. Within 2-5 seconds you are back in!
Although, ever since the last patch took place, not only the game doesn’t inform you that you lost connection, but also doesn’t attempt to reconnect you to the current match. But how does this look like in-game?
Basically, the game gives no indication that you’ve been disconnected. You can still emote, hover over things, and view descriptions, making it seem as though your opponent is AFK or just slow. In reality, the match is ongoing in the background, while you’re essentially stuck in a disconnected state without knowing it.
Once the issue becomes apparent, the only solution is to restart the game. After that, reconnecting usually places you in a losing match where at least one turn has passed without your input. Alternatively, you return directly to the menu and find out that your rank has decreased…
I’ve encountered this problem on my phone and other devices as well. I have lost a considerable amount of ranked/tavern and duos matches this way. Not to mention my connection was stable the whole time…
Has anyone else experienced similar issues since the last patch?
ive been experiencing random disconnects in the past few days, however, today ive started having the same problem as youve explained. The game doesnt even try to reconnect me. While i play, i consntantly ping local DNS and every packet goes through, therefore it cannot be my connection that is in fault. I would love to solve this. Thanks
Same here, I play on PC, stable cable connection, happened playing BG and ranked. 4 disconnects: 0 attempts to reconnect.
EDIT 2024-11-05: Stability of the game seems to have improved greatly, very rare disconnects actually, and when it happened and I reconnected, it showed a message “You won your ranked game”. PD: I made no changes in my computer and nothing is perfect. This stability maybe luck but I doubt it so thx to dev team.

EDIT 2024-11-19: After 3 crashes in 30 minutes, i kept wondering, and realized that game launcher was not run with administrator rights(win10), odd since it used to auto-ask on launch, so i did manually, and no crashes for 3 hours. If I don’t edit again here, means its solved. Fingers crossed.

same here. Constant disconnect with no attempt to reconnect, must manually quit and kill the game and restart all over to reconnect, and even then it often doesn’t reconnect and require multiple attempt. Average to like 1 min for every disconnect. It makes the game literally unplayable. How tf am I supposed to play when I’m essentially skipping every other turn?
Same here, in Battlegrounds. I notice I’ve been disconnected after I try to sell a card and it just hovers over the tavern for a while, then it pops back on my board. Then the game will idle.

Applies also to me. Then I quit the game but it fails to reconnect.
Hey guys, ive found a fix for my disconnects. For some reason the game was crashing cause of AMD software. Things like antilag, super resolution and sheesh like that. I turned everything off, no crash in 2 days.
Same here. If I notice soon enough that I have disconnected, I can usually log out and back in and continue playing. However, I notice my opponent’s rope will time out on their turn and they do nothing while I continue to play until I win. They really need to fix this.
Same here. Playing on a Mac, and I’ve lost three or four games in just the past few days. It’s super frustrating, especially when I have good tempo, only to end up in 8th place and lose 100 MMR points out of nowhere. Utterly garbage playing experience
I’m quiting Hearthstone until the bug is solved, the game is unplayable for me right now. I have a stable connection, and 1/3 of my games just keeps freezing. During my opponent turn, the game is just just stuck. His turn never finish, even after 10 minutes, and when I quit the game and rejoin it never reconnect me to the game. Even if I try to be smart and quit fast when I notice my enemie doesn’t play any card, the game still don’t reconnect me to the game. Please fix this issue so I we can play normally. It’s really sad, cause I payed for the battle pass the first time in my life, and I can’t even play the game normally.
It’s the same for me. This is ridiculous. This game has been out for YEARS. I stopped playing 3 years ago. Download the game again, fresh install… and then it doesn’t even work? Disconnect, like has been mentioned doesn’t even try to reconnect. I dropped that taunt/rush minion down as a Druid and it just hit the ground and didn’t give me the option to do anything and then the opponent kills me. Before that something similar happened so I logged off hours ago. This is unsustainable. I guess they don’t want our business. If this isn’t fixed this week I’m gone and I’m not coming back.
I disconnect from hearthstone atleast once every 2 games, it is so frustrating. I have to close the programme and launch it again and hope I get connected before my turn is over. But I never disconnect on mobile. Please Blizzard see this thread and get the problem fixed
