Is it the MAC OS Mojave update you think? Im using High Sierra at the moment, maybe the Mojave update has screwed us over? Hmmmmm
No, it’s definitely something at the blizzard end. I hadn’t updated my Mac when blizzard released the crashing patch. I then updated os to see if the current is would solve the problem and it changed nothing. It’s definitely related to the blizzard patch.

Go to System Preferences --> Sharing --> Change Computer Name
