The new hero is a shame

I think that getting a hero with a good kit is more important than who’s face its attached to, can you think of a known character from a blizzard universe that will fit with Qhira’s kit instead of her?

I think the actual kit is unique enough and interesting enough to be fun and deserve joining the nexus, i actually think the “tech” theme of her sword and kit does fit the OW universe, but I believe there would have been a bigger outrage if it was an “NPC” from Overwatch than a nexus hero

Are you saying that you will quit when there is a 3rd nexus hero?

No, no it isn’t an insult to the great and almighty Moose, so don’t be such a drama-llama and try to talk for everyone. Those who are indifferent or satisfied with things, usually stay quiet. And the ones throwing a tantrum over getting a new hero (in a game that some of you constantly cry about “being dead”), usually seem to be the most vocal. Not to mention that people always complain if THEIR favourite hero isn’t added. You want more Warcraft heroes? Have you counted how many there already are? Did you not notice Anduin being just added? Oh, and Overwatch? You haven’t seen the gripe that players have about OW heroes and how they “destroyed” Hots? No? Well, ok then.

See you in the Nexus, with the new, cool hero, while being so terribly insulted and traumatized ; )

Maybe Mr.Passive/aggresive should come down his happy cloud and join us here in the real world and see the US forums/reddit/yt section/twitter of dissatisfied fans, who are now the majority when it come down for negative feedback regarding this hero.Fans who want nothing else but established heros so blizzard can take there money/time.You know success for the game. But maybe that would cause Mr.P/A anxiety attacks?

LOL, Helll No, i wont quit even if they DONT launch a hero till 2025,
I enjoy this game a lotttt, its my ONLY work-stress-reliever, its like a part of my daily routine,

But, i said that to calm out our frend there who was pissed tht 2 nexus characters r lauched already, i told him if they launch the 3rd, i will stand by him n strangle the devs WITH HIM ,

shhhhh, i aint doing none tht sh!t

Reno Jackson can fit it. (And is popular in Hearthstone).

You do not get the point.

As I said most of the player base are unhappy, and you can see from to the many dislikes and comments in youtube, twitter, reddit (but it seems you have no eyes about that).

Yes is an insult for the most player base, because those players still playing this near dead game and you reward with a Hero that nobody requested.

They did the same mistake with Orphea, but this is even worst (no lore background, Blizzard crisis and ecc… Things that I said but ofc you can’t read)

For Anduin, you still can’t read I said we thank you for adding requested heroes like Fenix, Mephisto, Imperius and Anduin (and remember Imperius and Anduin were already developed before Blizzard crisis).

You are satisfied? Good, say “I Love dev team for adding a Qhira, smack smack i love wakanda!” and that is it. But don’t say who complaining are a cry babies and shouldn’t complain (and yes you implicied that).

My points are clear:
-Hots is a crossover game and it’s born as is it.
-There are many good heroes from the other universe, don’t need original
-Blizzard Crisis, is a waste continue with original heroes
-with this slowdown, we need the most requested heroes by the community (Deathwing, Reinhardt are the examples).
-This Hero is insult for the most player base who still play this game.

I did kinda hope for a HS original so i wouldnt be opposed. I see how the grappling hook and the E could be adapted to his whip, but how would u adapt the Q and W thematically to him aswell? Also Reno Jackson without his magic missle machinegun would get outrage from me

edit: Also , reno exists as an easter egg in tomb of the spider queen and sky temple already so that could also be an issue

On reddit there was a post who saying why Reno jackson would fit the abilities of Qhira and how. But I can’t find it.

I hope you do realize that Hearthstone takes place INSIDE the Warcraft Universe

According to Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hearthstone

“Originally subtitled Heroes of Warcraft”

“Hearthstone builds upon the existing lore of the Warcraft series by using the same elements, characters, and relics”

“Many of the concepts as well as art assets were based on those previously published in the physical World of Warcraft Trading Card Game”

So yeah there is no evidence suggesting that Hearthstone is it’s own Universe

Even The Lost Vikings have their OWN ACTUAL UNIVERSE in comparison to Hearthstone

I want to see Tomator make it to The Nexus someday

https://lostvikings.fandom.com/wiki/Tomator

Never been called passive-aggressive before. Moose is quite the sarcastic being, though - especially in situations where there seems to be no reason to behave like the sky is falling. And since you’ve been reading so much about the subject, you must have come across this behaviour from some people. It’s something to make fun of, and to somewhat criticise.
So no, Moo isn’t sailing along on some “happy cloud” (which is absolutely hilarious thought knowing how cynical being it is), not knowing what’s happening in the “real world”. Of course people are complaining. The moment Moo saw the new hero it knew what the response would be. And it made Moo facepalm. And then Moo was bored, and wrote a reply to a topic that says “the new hero is a shame”, which is so, soooo over the top that it needs to be poked a bit and laughed at.
And don’t fret, friend-Blurey - there won’t be any anxiety attacks over Hots, not even if it becomes the most popular moba-brawler-thingy in the world. Moo just tries to be realistic and accept that Blizzard abandoned the esport scene for Hots (in the most messed up manner possible), and is happy for the fact that we still get something. Having no expectations makes a content Moosetache.
(What are we talking about again…?)

I like the new character. Qhira looks cool, I played her on PTR and she feels great.

Honestly, I am all for new character designs and I don’t need to have a character linked to a wiki page to enjoy the game. I don’t really see the problem here. Of course I am also a person who isn’t as attached to other Blizzard IPs as many people here but I still enjoy the game, so I’m all about ‘that game feel’ moreso than ‘mah lore’.

It still stand though, I don’t see a problem here. Qhira looks cool and I can’t wait to play her off PTR.

I never meant that heartstone is its own universe, i meant that there are characters ( which would technically fit the warcraft universe ) which only appear in heartstone such as hagatha the witch

For all we know she could secretly end up becoming the main character of Warcraft 4 :stuck_out_tongue:

HS is in the warcraft universe but it also has a lot of non-cannon material.

It’s like comparing star wars legends and cannon- there both in the same universe but only one has the real lore.

“New heroe is shame?!”…

shh…shhht…LTheMaster…dont reveal what you are with this negative word " shame"…
We know that! :stuck_out_tongue:

And i did instpect how is percieve Qhira from whole player base…like this avarage 50 % win rate.
heh  " War/battle for Qhira"…

Think this just proves that Blizzard is mismanaged horribly there managers are out of touch with the product, and only focus on how to make it profitable to please the top dogs and shareholders for constant growth(witch is impossible to substain, there is a plato at certain point)
My point being,if they went in with the idea that hots would be a brawl with iconic Blizzard IP characters, there was no need for lore,or adding original characters to the idea.Espcially if you 2 months later on killed off the IP for any support.
No vision/foresight what so ever regarding the IP.

Also there is a nice “between the lines” in the Qhira spotlight “I am not paid enough for this” devs seem to suggest. As i’ve already said they pretty much see it where careers go to die.
And i’ve read a good comment going along the lines:“people who never played any other blizz IP’s wouldnt mind this hero, and dont understand why this is soo bad”…to wich i fully agree with.

I agree with OP. I don’t understand why they make up heroes next to so many they can get from other IPs. If hots wasn’t having all my favorite characters from other games, and their banter like “where is Illidan” or “I would have done better” or “you still have so much to learn” and so on, I don’t think I’d like this game as much as I do.

That aside, I think the hero itself will be fine. Adding story to the Nexus makes no sense, even when you play tutorial with Raynor and he asks Uther “wth is the point of all this” he answers him withs omething like “its better not to ask too many questions here”.

They tried to make something new so they introduced the first nexus hero aka- the orphan but for blizzards surprise, people didn’t want a new universe. Idk why there still trying tho if they can’t even give the new hero a story. O and if you think there should add more nexus heroes because orphanage is the only nexus hero, you’d be wrong, because vikings are the only blizzard classic hero to.

Ye the spotlight somehow grew from 5:6,5k Like/dislike to 7,1:7,5 ratio. Not the first time they try there “magic” to prevent it.Diablo Immortal trailer, people made content for months on how blizzard try to damage control that trailer.Same with every WoW store mount get’s mass downvoted, and then they somehow grow in likes.

Id love to see Mag,but he is waaay low on prio list, some tanky/bruiser

With this line you reveal as futile and pitful person without no arguments.

I wrote the reasons why I think the new Hero is a shame, But ofc you only focused the title instead reading all my arguments.
A pity for you that you can’t bring a solid opposition, matey.
