#reworkmercy , it's a mess

Let’s not be pedantic. It should go without saying that it’s not the only reason.

Not sure that’s a problem. There are mechanics in the game like Zarya’s bubbles which require her to take damage. It could be perceived as an interesting game mechanic.

I do insult people in a general way. I often times insult the entire human species for their stupidity.

Yep, they’re both ults after all. But, we’re smart boys/girls and know that there’s many variables and differences. We don’t have to go over all that though. We can just assume that two ults can be compared in a general way, yes? You have to meet me half way on that. Being overly pedantic about things will drive debate into a dead end.

Potentially. It depends on the presidence set by the designers and my point is that they’ve got multiple mechanics in the game that do this and yet only res got the snipe. I don’t believe that this was the main reason for the deletion. I think it was a bit of a scapegoat on Jeffs part, which is fine?

I don’t overly care, but when I point out the real reason lots of people descend on the thread as I predicted would happen. :yum: This makes it seem like a massive issue, because we’re all engaging in a massive argument/debate about it, when in reality it’s a clear cut situation as far as I’m concerned. It’s just a bitter pill for some people to swallow so they resort to attacking me personally and bashing on the Mercy strawman.

Ah, well you’ve used the golden word there which is “opinion”. I think that people fail in OW all the time and it’s to be expected. I would call the use of mass res “managed failure”, which is a strategy in itself and thus could be construed as a positive.

Anyone play MTG?

You forgot “evil”… :unamused:

Adding words to mine again ? No, evil is subjective, like you are in conversations.

She’s still the strongest healer in game, what you on about?

It’s a little inside joke. A Mercy hater once called me evil on here. :yum: Chill out dude… you’re taking this too seriously. :hearts:

I’ve seen more arguments from mercy mains that essentially boil down to i want mass ress back.

yours are no different.

devs have said they’re happy, your opinion is irrelevant.

Enough said here. lol. Your post above, you admitted to being biased, dont pull a fast one and call other people biased. The qualified people i site is the developers, who made the game, the pros, who have mastered every aspect of it and everyone who works with the pros. Where are yours ?

They are this games developers, the people who made the game you are talking about. :joy:
Also, they have quite a bit of awards and recognition for making good games, this so called company know as Blizzard.

The reason you are not citing qualifications, is cause you have none. Give me some proof that you have delved into game development of FPS games and have gotten success in terms of e-sport/balancing. i will wait.

No blizzard aint fault proof, that is why i quote blizzard on one site, have the pros, their team leaders, coaches etc on the other side. Who all express in some form, whether it is in game, through the star rating or through vocal expression, that Mercy is a very easy hero and she is also in a some what good place, might need slight tweaks.

Where is any of yours, as i said earlier, you site nothing, you don´t even put on the table, what qualifies you yourself. You literally take away the least amount of qualification you could have, which was being a game developer and now have even less to stand on with your arguments.

Game designers can make mistakes, too. Although, to be fair, they have a lot more experience game design wise than a (insert hero here) main so people gac give them at least some credit.

Uh… what was the issue regarding mercy anyways? I lost track of the discussion

The problem was this

Makes hateful comments on people, who are not even in the thread, which by the way are factually incorrect, since i have made a huge amount of post surrounding a mercy rework to make her more interactive fun and skillfull.

The original post is something about blizzard listening to certain players more than others etc, there are problems with Mercy and the community and something about this Aria rose youtube, who i must say, wuhh, is an extremely biased and “feelings over facts” person, that makes Endoftheline seem like the most objective person i have ever discussed with.

Then let’s solve the sandbox fight quickly as possible:

What EndOfTheLine did was picking a fight, which is against the CoC and can be flagged as trolling.

Now, can we talk about mercy again?

:joy: A prime example of what goes on here. Some of you are only arguing against a preconception when the reality is quite different.

What you’re doing there is picking a fight with me, which is against the CoC and can be flagged as trolling.

Obviously I’m out numbered here and people will be flagging me all day long, not because they care about the CoC, but because they’re using that as another weapon to attack people they don’t agree with.

The amount of abuse I’ve taken from you is astounding and yet I never abuse you back. All I said was that you might pop in to bash and rehash the same tired old arguments which is exactly what you did. That’s not hateful. That’s not abuse. :yum:

Wanting to talk about a hero because I play her doesn’t make me bias. :face_with_raised_eyebrow: See, time and time again it’s the same faulty comments in attempt after attempt to try and “prove” me to be something I’m not. You desperately want one of these things to stick, but every time it’s wrong. ~Utter pantamine.

Again, they have vested interests, there’s ego involved and they make mistakes all the time which is why we have patches. You’re only holding up Blizzard’s word as law because it suits you in this instance. If you were talking about a hero that you felt was designed incorrectly then you’d not bring this up.

rofl…

Yea, well Jeff Goodman said in an interview with Stylosa that there’s a preconception that Mercy is easy to play and identified that from looking at the stats that Mercy is actually in the mid range when compared to the rest of the roster. So… your argument kinda backfired a little there, didn’t it?

You hadn’t cited anything until now, and I just destroyed that by citing the very same source against you.

I am the one to abuse, yet you are the one name calling people, who are not even here. Name dropping them and belittling them.

Nice again, that your words hold so much weight, yet your actions show otherwise. :joy:

Your whole post proves bias, saying you want to talk more and actively advocate more for the character you enjoy is bias. Simply.

I am not a Mercy main, yet i often talk about her, heck i main Widow, Mccree, Soldier and so on. Do you see me constantly talk about them ? No cause i try to not be biased and actually only add to a conversation about them if i actually have something constructive and realistic to say.

I said, that blizzard and pros, why do you cut the pros out ?

Blizzard are more qualified on FPS hero shooter game development than you, fact.

Pros are more qualified on fps hero shooter game balance and how it affects gameplay than you, fact.

Both agree that Mercy is both easy, introduction healer and not as underpowered as a lot of you Mercy mains proclaim her to be. That is factual evidence, that your statement isn´t supported by actual qualified authorities.

Indeed
LMAO
dodging the answer again, cause you have none. At least be honest and tell us, that you have none. Pathetic.

  1. Actual Citations needed, first of all i cannot find a stylosa jeff goodman interview, this looks bad…

  2. Middle of the pack, is not hard, it still proves my point, when 50% of the rooster is harder than her. Literally… Just proved my point. nice one.

  1. Citing, is suddenly referring to something a person said, while having no “”, no evidence or no real citation. Indeed you very much destroyed me, with my own logic GJ. You will find that the citation in 2. will provide you with the proof that the development team find Mercy in a good state. Otherwise than this, as i cited, you can open the game and look at the developer made difficulty rating to also prove her ease of use. Now i will sit back and grab some more pop corn, cause this is getting so corny.

There are some constants on the forum. You and Bustar and others will use the same tired old arguments against anything relating to Mercy. The Dragon guy will try to shut people down with the CoC even though the CoC is constantly being broken by people all the time.

Me expecting this to happen, pointing it out and then watching it happen isn’t abuse… it’s just a thing that happens, and happened. I expected this would get jumped on by you or others like you and that’s exactly what happened. It’s boring and predictable at this point.

The actual subject of why mass res was removed quickly becomes lost in the ether as we degrade down into… this… whatever this is…

See Dragon likes to try and take the high road, and boy would I love to talk about Mercy, but all I get is people like you to verbally (typerly) spar with. I have little interest in it, which is why I just laugh at you most of the time. FrankDrebin went on a more interesting path of debate which I enjoyed, but that’s probably dried up now.

So, I’m happy to talk about Mercy, that’s what I’m here for believe it or not. :yum:

rofl, Having an interest in a hero or playing a hero doesn’t automatically mean that you want her to be more powerful. Like, is that really a hard concept to understand? See yet again, you’ve got an erroneous assumption. Like, surely you can understand how what your saying isn’t right??

Ehhh… This is silly. I gotta bail on this. It’s one of those refusing the grass is green situations. I can’t anymore. :hearts:

:yum: Well, you can either take my word for it or not. I can’t be bothered to go find it.

So the “Jeff goodmann stylosa interview” ???

Citations are still needed. The more you walk around it, the more it will make you look even worse.

Bias isn´t just to want your hero to be better than others, actively saying that you are more interested in the balance of your hero and everything related to your hero. Is straight up bias.

Here you go, dictionary citation
“1. A particular tendency, trend, inclination, feeling, or opinion, especially one that is preconceived or unreasoned”

And here we go folks, this is why you should always listen to what Endoftheline has to say, cause he cant be bothered to back his own words up.

:joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:
