Just like most people here have already described, I for example have not left a single game. I got the message in my in game chat that said Server Connection Error, then a couple of minutes later I was suspended from Comp for 15 minutes. After that I could play like normal for the evening, at least 10 more games. This morning I sign in and am banned from Comp, can still play Unranked.
It cannot be that difficult for your staff to at least take a look at the people here in this forum that have voiced that they experienced the same issue. We’re all very frustrated and have waited hours for some kind of response and the best you could do is this response?
“Intentional updates to leaver penalties” - i’m pretty sure this does not entail banning someone from an entire season after a SERVER ERROR they had no control of.
So please, i’m begging you, start at least looking at the people that have reached out and try and help them instead of assuming we’re all just making something out of nothing.
We pay money to play with the battle pass, we buy skins and we support this game and love it. The least we can get back is help when the problem is on your side.
Same here, never left a single game, yesterday one gameserver was unresponsive while joining (never entered the game) and after that I was banned for 15 minutes. Today I was banned from Season 10 completely. Blizzard, fix this, I just started playing again after a long time!
Pretty embarassing how the one who developed/ performed the change on the leaver penalty system cannot even get a simple counter that resets properly right. My assumption is that everyone ( Including me) that got thrown out of the queue due to server sided issues had all their subsecutive games count towards the leaver penalty irrespective of them playing and completing those games or not. Reason being that I noticed that the game history overview was not recording certain games yesterday already, and all the games I played yesterday evening seem to have disappeared after 19;00 CET.
How did this ever get pushed to live/production? Do you not rigorously test systems that automatically suspend people from a game mode? Bugs like this cost alot more money to solve than to prevent and properly test them in the first place.
Having the gall to post a response stating " some players are likely to be correctly restricted based on the new criteria." after your AUTOMATED system goes haywire due to poor performing servers and live patching your servers during the busiest hours of the evening, is frankly disturbing at least and dishonest at most.
Yo , if there are thousands of players issuing the same problem so you guys need to solve it.
Hiding behind words and policy won’t help it get any better, your servers collapsed and didn’t let people get into the match and thats the reason for the penalties.
You should figure this out because its not about specific players it happened to mass amount.

Having the exact same issue as the hundreds/thousands of other players. Tried queuing for a comp game yesterday which weirdly ended with a 15 minute suspension and all of a sudden banned from season 10 entirely - all without leaving a single game ever. Needs to be fixed quickly because this is not the players fault!
Такая же проблема. Получил бан на 15 минут за игру которая не успела еще начаться (была проблема с сервером), потом играл и на следующий день бан до конца сезона. Ждем с нетерпением 11 сезон : )
There have been several posters, myself included, on here and Reddit who have reported getting their accounts permanently banned in the past few days, some of whom have never had any sort of account action against them in the past. I truly believe that something is going on with the ban system because I have never been silenced or suspended before, or (AFAIK) received any sort of warning, so getting perma-banned on my supposed first offense has been devastating. I’m very concerned that I was falsely flagged for cheating or using third-party software. I am still waiting to hear back about my appeal but I, and others, would really appreciate if you could look into this!

Same here. Banned for the season, and I had only 2 bans this time around. One was when I found a game and while loading said game it said “you’re suspended 15 mins” and 1’s I was so long in queue that I tabbed and forgot about it.
same thing, i did not leave 1 game, played a few yesterday and got a 15 min ban after a game just because…the game ended and no one left. Today! BAM!!! banned for the whole season. This is not normal!!!
