Definitely a waiting game. I think a lot of people myself included have tried that and all got useless replies with no action taken
I emailed to see why I was banned and they just send back a generic ‘this action was taken in accordance with our terms of service’ message
Some of us have given a Detailed explanation to them so i think they know what is wrong but they must come up with a solution to solve this problem. If they unban us now then chances are that in 2 days most of us are having the same problem again.
Please give them some time.
I am really upset that this happened to me but i know that I’m not alone in this matter.
Hopefully they will have this problem fixed as soon as possible but all we can do is wait.
And it would be nice that the longer it takes that they give a decend compensation for the time lost.
The most easy and probably fastest solution now is to revert when you get Banned as it was in Season 9 and then find a better solution for the Leaver problem.
If something like this can happen once, and could happen again. It’s only a matter of time before people’s accounts become permanently banned due to blizzards mistakes

I literally played 4 games of comp, then suddenly it kicked me, and I’ve got an email saying that my account has been banned for “hacks” which is weird, because I never used hacks and don’t know how to… I’ve been banned for 5 days, and when I try to appeal I get the same message… which is really disappointing, that I didn’t do anything wrong…
I agree with your sentiment and I can perfectly imagine how fixing this goes much beyond “simply unbanning people” because they need to understand the root cause and make sure it doesn’t just happen again.
And I can wait a day or two, that being said, my biggest fear is that even after they find a fix they still don’t unban players. They have a reputation for being very opaque on such matters, customer support literally doesn’t even let you try to appeal comp bans, so I can only hope that they are listening here and won’t just ignore all of us.
Yeah i figured out that aswell that when you try to Appeal a Ban that it won’t even let you.
I’m Certain that they will unban those who have been struck.
Probably even unban some who have deserved it in the Process but it will be only a matter of time that they will get Banned again if they still misbehave.
I really hope that they will understand this.
I’m one of those players like many probably who have this issue that spends money to get things like the Battle pass or maybe even a skin sometimes.
I can also wait for a few days without any problems. I can still play the other modes if i really want to play. Only like many i find the most fun in a challange hence i play Competitive. And if they take that from me i’d rather play a different game then and spend my money there then to be mistreated by something i had no power whatsoever over.
can we get a compensation for that

I got the “Failed to connect to server” yesterday and go the 15 min ban, played a couple of games after and went to sleep. Woke up today with season ban, contacted the support and they told me “This action has been taken in accordance with our Terms of Use and our In-game Policies”. Most likely it wont be fixed anytime soon so don’t get your hopes high
Same here! Exactly the same situation as OP: 15 15-minute ban after failing to connect to a match, and then a Season 10 ban when I log on this evening. Please fix this ASAP, being unable to play Competitive altogether is unacceptable.

I`m with u guys… and im glad that blizzard noticed the problem. I hope they understand that unban all is better than keep players banned even if they deserve it. Im afraid to play even a QP cuz this problem might be a bugged as multiplying every penalty/report u get and i also know that players like to report ppl in QP for playing character they dont like…
