I played yesterday with my brother a couple of games in QP.
We played against a 4000+ rating zarya who was very obvious using a cheat.
His beam was staying on us , doesn’t matter how crazy we moved.
He called it master tracking skills.
So i played pharah flight above a wall beam locked on me…
Flayed to another part of the wall and just came above the wall. Beam locked at me in a milisecond. I got killed and in the replay it was so obvious he was using a cheat. We said we reported him and the next couple of games he played dps(tracer etc…) and probably turned of his cheats… The level 4000+ got completely destroyed by silver and gold players…
So how can a very high rating (got high because of hacking) still play this game???
Why he isn’t already banned from this game ages ago.
Also overwatch is probably the most toxic game.
A game with players who want to win and lots of players who just want to farm skins etc… So lots of collision of 2 different why’s of playing the game.
And lots of children( and teens who just use overwatch to troll and take revenge on the world.
Now that we have lfg and no penalties playing a full stack i dont mind all the trolls. Just play with friends. But cheats destroy games real fast.
A system where you can replay the game out of one of the other players view (also enemies) So you can see how he aims a whole game long not only in replays of death cam or Play of the game. And then mark the very obvious hack, and send those to an employer of blizzard. Who will check them and has the power to delete an account. Or penalize someone who send in false report
Sorry but what does this have to do with the report system abuse i am talking about, go record proof and mail hacks@blizzard.com
I would not underestimate players, if they do not like what you play they will report you, at some point you gonna get unlucky and get an automated ban, that they would probably revert easily after investigating, but that likely won’t happen cos no one can be innocent, or either the fact there just to much to go thru.
It’s probably based of avg of last 10 games, every game you don’t get reported lowers your avg, if you get reported 10 games in a row there probably an issue.
Long story short: due to the code of conduct, in theory, everything you say can break the CoC and thus be reported for chat abuse.
Whether negative comments like “our dps is useless” should be tolerated, that’s debatable. There are both arguments for and against tolerating such behaviour.
It’s a verdict by jury, even though the jury obviously isn’t qualified to judge people. If a group wants to collectively pick on someone by false reporting him/her, then that person could get punished. It happened to me the other day and I lost an endorsement level for it. I wasn’t abusive, but they were. Doesn’t matter, because my one report, even though it was actually true is still only one report whereas their 5 reports, though false are still 5 reports.
However, I think you’d have to be extremely unlucky to get enough false reports to warrant a warning or a serious punishment. At least I’ve never been punished or warned yet.
Blizzard what the actual frickle frackle…
I got flamed 3 matches in a row really bad and I got frustrated by this and told them off and then I muted them… and then I get a warning for abusive chat… I already got silenced once with this exact same problem… please look into your reports bc this is actually upsetting for me and it demotivates me and my friends to play more… I have to report people pretty much every game now it’s that bad…
