talking to the mirror? this is not what a warlock is designed for, it’s designed so that it can also summon, that doesn’t mean that lazy players can abuse it whenever it suits them. Those shards are mine, no one ever helped me to get them, they just assume i have them on me on top of spending time to get all the silly buffs they want you to appear with etc etc.

Well , that is raiding and dealing with people , switch to guild with no locks and you will have your problem solved
ye you can summon but you dont want to spend 5 min killing a handful of mobs every once in a while and instead delay a raid by 15 min for every single person in the raid goob job saving your super precious special time

I often make use of warlocks being there to summon me.
And sometimes I’m on my warlock myself to summon other people.
I don’t really see an issue there.
If they’re polite about it, say in advance they’ll be late or they’re busy with real life stuff it’s really not an issue, always happy to help.
What annoys me is when they feel entitled to it and can’t be assed to fly and run like every else and have no valid excuse.
I’m facing a similar issue as a healer. It’s never a problem in guild runs, but in pugs if there’s a wipe you can see some folks just staying dead and not releasing and running like everyone else. If they say in advance they need to take care of their pet, kids, go to the toilet, run out to the store anything at all it’s really not a problem. But taking for granted that healers will res them when they get back is big a minus in my book. I stopped ressing them in those cases and if they message me I respond “res and run like us”.

Problem is it is summer time and many guilds on my server are struggling to even get full roster, not to mention bench.
My guild gone from 42-43 regulars to 25-27 regulars, so I think RLs and GMs dont want to go hard on rest of us to not loose even more. Recruitment also going bad, we got only 2 new people over 3 weeks.
Happens to a lot of guilds. Talk to other guilds in your position and arrange a potential merge, where the core players of each team form the main part of the raid.
I would do that, but Im not GM.
And it looks like GMs are not very open to merge ideas, dont know is it ego thingy or something else - like “it just wouldnt work” without even trying
If a guild can’t muster more than 30 people for more than a week or two people will leave on their own eventually, so long as there are other guilds that can give them a raidspot in 40man raids.
GMs dont like merges because it causes leadership problems, it causes competition and the stronger leadership ends up taking over. It also causes guilds to essentially calapse and reform as one, losing friendships and what not.
It’s usually done as a last resort. If you can’t muster players to raid, and you can’t recruit new people because of your server, you end up with no other choice than to merge your guild.
If your leadership fears competition, it’s a good sign that you need new leadership. You already knew that though, since your leaders do absolutely nothing to stop slackers from wasting everybody’s time.
As Lock is my main I can say I hate it with a passion although we generally never have players leave during raids just players that never show up on time and expect a summon or players who purposely wait until we are at BRM for a summon as they don’t want to lose 2 minutes on their WB’s flying, if everyone had that attitude then no one would get summoned as there would be no one to click! What makes these selfish players so special? The only ones I don’t mind summoning generally are the tanks as if they get targeted by dispellers it’s bad for the entire raid. But if the raid leader says fly to a location and players don’t and expect a summon then of course it’s frustrating more so because it shows a lack of respect for every other player in the raid.
Another really annoying thing is when your out in the world in the middle of no where and a random player wants a summon to that zone so they whisper you and ask “can you summon me plz” but don’t even bother to offer you the gold for your time. I don’t even bother replying unless they are willing to pay 15g+ because believe it or not it takes an additional 2 players to summon and sometimes depending on where you are it’s not easy to find them. Why should I go through the hassle and drop everything I’m doing if your not willing to compensate me? And yet when I play my mage I get offered gold for making water and portals, it astounds me.
Another thing is that players who expect to be summoned are quite entitled to level a lock slave to 20 and summon others to the raid including the Warlock raiders who also have world buffs.
However I can say I was rather happy during the 10 hour war in Silithus when I was in a raid group farming the bosses I made quite a bit of gold as players was whispering me offering me 30-50g for a summon. Easiest gold of my life.
Nope, be on time. If your late that’s on you, not the warlock. We can clear the raid with 30people we are pulling at said time, we don’t wait.
Guild policy -No summon, we drop Nefarian head 10min before raid and ride together to the raid.
Yes, it is 5 minutes in question, but I have to come 5 min earlier, so few repeated slackers can always come 5 or 10 or 15 min later.
They are just using my time to save on theirs, doesnt sound fair, right?

my xp is just from pugs tho where even if lock is first to arrive, and lets say we have a late replacement flying from darnassus, he still just runs into instance and sits around instead of summoning
ofc just replace these guys if they cant come on time. but if you generally think summoning someone is giving them some extraordinary privilige then you are a slacker who cant be bothered to play your class. again its like not giving mage water

I will summon when I feel like it, which is most of the time. If not, I fake afk. Simple.

We usually just /kick the afkers and get a warlock that isn’t afk at raid time 
out of shards,sorry.
/kick - No shards means no soulstones in case of bad pull = useless warlock
