Iām not quite sure what sparked this but Iām certainly not going to look through every long running topic that has existed on EN forums. But have fun with that 
Thats exactly what I think, Im not in any large discord channel or social media and thought of them seem appalling to me but some video games forum, game that myself also spent last 20 years playing does appeal as place to hang with similar people who we share this same hobby with. I think its the common factor with this video game. I cannot relate otherwise in many conversations that I see people debating on other platforms nor even want to

Best part about game forums is that it contains people from all different opinions and backgrounds because theyāre brought here by their interest in a video game and not by their ideologies
Almost every other place on the internet has turned into an echo chamber based around their beliefs. Which is really sad because conversations between different ideas and opinions is what moves us forward and enables us to develop as a society.
Without it and divided into island groups where everyone thinks the same just leads to intellectual and cultural stagnation and even decline.
Which is also why itās so disheartening to see so many people here trying to turn this place into yet another discord channel.

Kinda also why I always picked international guilds cos it was interesting to hear from other cultures almost like experiencing it while playing, I found the few national guilds bit onesided and even senseless the few Ive been two times, just not sensical to limit raid roster for nationality alone imo, but I understand if some want guild of just their own language anyway but I want international if I join any, pretty much everyone can communicate with English anyway and then theres universal game lingo. I still remember conversations even years back of joking with ppl in discord while were clearing some raid
Iād be sad if you did that and, at the moment, I canāt see the problem posts. But, as Alythena said, you can always put people on ignore and most of the time we have a nice community here ā¦ even if thereās a bit too much talking about the game and not quite enough cake pictures ā¦

I understand most do it for ease of communication when raiding/pvping but still.
Iāve been in Swedish guilds and theyāre all very Swedish. And as a Swede, been there done that 
I wanna meet people from around the world. Kind of the point with the whole mmo internet thing imo.
Otherwise I can just continue having LAN parties with my friends.

I were in finnish guild aswell and felt the same, and ive been in other nationalitys guild as the only fin and they spoke mostly their language in discord and from these two i would pick the other than my own language cause the jokes that came out of it when I were the only guy in voice with no clue what theyre saying and I started make fun of the situation and it grew into a joke eventually, in end we even spoke english in raid mostly. And then theres the international guilds were english is just default and you get meet alot ppl quickly from all around world but everyone share the same lingo and hobby with this game, thats the one I would prefer too.

Im trying order new mouse mat and stumbled on led lighted pads, can say now i have officially seen every pc product integrated with mood lighting, its a mouse pad on table that my mouse moves on. Now I can buy it come with disco lights!! 50 euro price for mouse mat is pretty steep but hey can you really put price on style

I thought they were massively moving to Florida and Miami Dade instead of the rest of the country, learnt something.
To be frank, I sometimes feel like I should have moved straight from graduating instead of trying to get some experience before crossing the Atlantic. What broke my mind was a disdain to my country, increasing my IR taxes, with a government that wants to increase taxes on investments (Sorry, I donāt trust a public pension system that just hands over workers money to the youngest retirees in OECD, so Iām just trying to build a pension by myself. But these taxes increases feel like they donāt want me to either, and that they know better than me how to invest)
