🎭 GD Chat Room (Part 3)

Just shame its not lake monsters like loch ness or forest trolls or the like, then I would want to go camping for the thrill of fantasy of it :joy:

Found a midsized dead spider in my livingroom that i didn’t kill. So there might be one bigger hiding or several smaller that ganked the dead one… :scream:

They have moved all over Florida now, taking advantage of the gaps in the job market as they are perfectly entitled to do. A lot of Puerto Ricans have also settled in Florida but as Puerto Rico is not a state but a protectorate (to use the more polite version of colony) they don’t have the same rights as US citizens but enjoy more than immigrants. Florida is a melting pot and despite efforts to demonize it, it’s doing rather well. Mostly because of tourism, during the summer it’s mostly Europeans but during the winter its usually Canadians (who we called Canucks) and from northern states like Illinois Michigan etc but it does have other major industries such as orange juice production.

I was at a hotel last weekend, there were several cakes served at their breakfast buffet!

Actually, that’s true. I don’t think I’ve seen it much in England, but they tend to do it in Dutch hotels. The one I usually stay in used to have doughnuts with pink icing and sprinkles on offer for breakfast but when I went last year, they didn’t have them. That was a sad day :sob:

Life can be so cruel :frowning:

Dont remember if there was cake when i was in London last year. But i was busy munching on croissants anyways.

In Amsterdam there were cake, several types aswell. And same at the hotel in Svolvær last weekend. So much yum yum! I just wanted to sit there and eat for 3 hours

Times like this I wish I was back in Tally going to DD’s for a donut and a coffee for breakfast because I couldn’t be bothered to goto Denny’s.

We really need diners like Denny’s in the UK…

It’s been many years since iv had a denny’s grand slam or what ever they called it. :yum:

Honourable mention - Sizzlers

Ohhhh, Denny’s. How could I have forgotten. We had 2 long holidays in Florida when the children were children, and they got to recognise the Denny’s sign very quickly (along with the McD’s signs as US McD was very different to UK.)
