Ppl from bel air might be doing luxcamping, it seem to be kinda trending. My sister sent me something of it. Basically its camping made as comfy as possible and they practically have tent houses with beds and stoves inside it with everything you could imagine found from someones home but its just top of hill or on a lake. They have even generators for lighting and electricity so they can charge iphones in those
Yes please
I can hear the fish and wildlife inspector going Oi, do you have loisence for that missile launcher sir?
Then Arnold shows him his lisence.
Yeah its like I thought that the hassle of getting them in uk or nordic compared to florida is not really worth the trouble no matter how much would want, like I would very much enjoy shooting bolt-actions for target practise but Im not going to do all the effort for it to make it possible in Finland. I can play some video game alot easyer if I want shoot anyway
Can check if you can borrow my friends 15man military tent.
If you blast the stove all night it becomes a sauna in there even during the winter so you can get that spa experience at least
It would be over 2500km drive just to come borrow it tho, or how do we do this transaction where I give nothing in return
Ive wanted tent with stove since they started trending! I would definitely love winter camp on such teepee with a stove but man are they heavy to haul there where you set the camp! Ive been holding back on the investment, it costs 500-800 euro total and takes about size of one backpack and weights 20kg or so and would be something I do maybe 1-2 night for year.
The term is: Glamping.
Its like Nesingwary expedition base of sorts set somewhere, my sister got into it few year back and said its the only type camping she prefer now
I completely understand that.
I just think of the stranglethorn vales hemet nesingwarys camp when I see them, I guess it could be kinda cool try it out
Careful though. Maybe youāll never want anything else again, as well.
He would probably lend it out for free but heās not so keen on driving it out when Iām borrowing it and thatās like 15km so Iām dubious about what he would say about 2500km ^^
Theyāre hella cool but as you say, heavy, cumbersome and you really need a more longtime place to camp. Putting up for just one night and taking it down in the morning is a pain.
As were getting older more comfort doesnt sound bad at all. We are old enough that we should be allowed to just enjoy cup of coffee in cozy tent now
Can ditch the stove and get a Hilleberg instead. Theyāre only like 1500-ā$ for an all season
Ive had this thought for years now that would want go set this type tent stove for camp in lake somewhere and fish few days or week there and drink around campfire at night ofc, I think it would be fun
I camped enough as a Guide and then as a Guide leader to ever want to camp in a tent again. The ground is hard and bumpy, there are lots of mysterious noises, local wildlife is nosy and itās a half mile walk to the lats (toilets but not as you know them).
Never ever again.
Could be forest mouses or whatever critters running top of sleeping bag too and wake you just as you fell asleep, had reindeer come sniffing outside of tent too with bell on its collar, ive found earplugs could be as useful as in urban setting. Youre right theres lot of disturbances for sleep
You just have to find the daughter of some rich land owner and marry into some pristine camping landā¦ I mean marry for love of course!
Or bring the whiskey, sing snapsvisor all night and snore like a ww2 bomber. Become the disturbance and no animals will ever disturb you!
Heard its also the only way of getting one of those permits to herd reindeers, either born among one family or marry one from them, marry for love ofc not for the permit to become reindeer herder
