In esports they are. Itâs good that they do events like this in general
Because I know youâre not acting in bad faith here, in contrast to certain other people hereâŚ
This isnât because women are worse at video games, itâs because thereâs a negative bias towards women. The TL;DR is that this has caused gender minorities (including women when it comes to gaming) to have to fight harder and endure more toxicity than men, often resulting in outright quitting instead of enjoying the game. We know when weâre not welcome, and people like Vhaal are a good example as of why.
This is so dumbâŚ
A) In sports it is obvious that there is a physical difference between women and men. Hence, separate leagues.
I have yet to see arguments that women are physically disadvantaged with respect to men in gaming. So I dont see justification to have a separate league to begin with.
B) This trans issue has been solved at-least in SC2. Scarlet is trans. Does not matter. Competes just the same and there is no drama. Nobody cares. Great pro player also.
No special league, nothing⌠Why does wow have this treatment?
Watch the video I linked.
Why? Because it hasnât affected you? Are the experiences of all of us invalid because you think itâs bs?
You might want to look up the meaning of minority. Generally speaking men make up the majority of players, meaning women are in the minority.
Sigh⌠itâs not about knowing oneâs skin color, itâs how people treat you when they notice youâre not like them. This can be cultural as much as about who you are. Well that and blatant racism that some people exhibit freely.
So you, a random internet dude, is going to tell all us women that our experiences in this is false? Thanks for dismissing the experiences of women
Maybe you should ask those women about it You as a man have completely different experiences, and you canât base our experiences on your own.
So even when women are pointing out why, you keep calling it BS and dismissing it. Thanks for proving the point that experiences and struggles of women are being dismissed.

I hope you get banned. Your threads get more sad every day. How attention starved are you irl?
You are way off the reservation if you think sucky parents are a âboys onlyâ club.
It has affected. I just mentioned what guild I belong to.
In fact, 1 dude ^$#@-talked a female guildie. It was called out by a male guildie and you cant imagine how fast that guy (and his friends) were banned from our social circle. And extended one too, because we had other friends in other guilds.
That guy had to literally change regions to be admitted to another guild.
Why is this? As I said before. We are all adults. 90% of male guildies and friends have wives/GF, many of which also have kids (myself included)⌠we know how to treat women.
As equalsâŚ
The video specifically said: âWomen AND minoritiesâ and interviewed a black woman. And she started to talk about race.
Dont get cocky with words there.
Again⌠Discord⌠there is NO way to know !
Nobody cares what color skin you have. And those who care are just racist and should that happen in my guild, he will get kicked out as fast as that misogynist idiot.
All that matters (in my guild) is: Are you a nice person? Wanna have fun together? Other CE guilds will add: âAre you good?â.
Why? Because were adults playing a game. RL is hard enough as it is, and we are each fighting our own battles. Its dumb to take them into the game.
I am not dismissing bad experiences. Im just saying that ONLY women have them is false.
We ALL have them. The internet is a cesspool of the worst of humanity⌠donât pretend its anything other than that.
And I preach gender equality. Pure and simple.
As a result you misinterpreted my intentions. Let me extend:
A) In a non competitive environment (99% of player base) women are at an even ground to men when it comes to dealing with douches on the internet. All we can do is support each other. Its a jungle out thereâŚ
B) In a competitive environment, I am against the idea of âquotasâ. I dont like that women get special treatment because that is like admitting in the open that they are not equal to men. And they are.
So just hire some good players (some of which will be women), get them playing in those chairs (not in a separate room for women) and do the RTWF. DONE. No special videos, no nothing.
And if anybody has anything to say about it, they will get fired. Like in my job, and anybodyâs job.
I did. And the biggest complaint they have is that male guildies joke too much about each others male genitalia. And they think its dumb. And to be fair, so do I. Basically, nothing serious.
I repeat. Im against giving women preferential treatment over a cause that affects both men and women.
I am for gender equality. Period. And if there are guilds that deliberately exclude women because of being a woman should be called out. And they will go extinct on their own as well.
Simply because if there are 10 candidates, and the best one is a woman and you exclude her for being a woman⌠then⌠you are not hiring the best player⌠some other guild will and will be successful.
But that works both ways. If from 10 candidates the best one is a man, hiring a woman because it would sound âbigotâ is also detrimental for the team.
And that applies for both RTWF liquid, to CE, and any difficulty.
Now⌠if it HAPPENS that the best candidates are systematically men, then there are grounds to say that women might need their own league. I cant answer this question, nor am I qualified enough to even begin to think about it.
But calling out toxic people on the internet as a âreasonâ is like saying that the sky is blue. Its blue for everyoneâŚ
Agree. 100%. Did not clarify that in my previous post.
See how he ghosted after a while in the conversation? Probably went off to buy some popcorn and sit while watching the mess he created, I can imagine the most satisfied grin running across his cheeks.
I shared a recently published article.
Iâm not sure whatâs the issue here.
Youâre being rude to me forâŚposting a Wowhead link?
I created this thread before going to sleep.
I am currently at work.
Thereâs nothing unusual or suspicious about me not being as involved as you would like during this time period.
Youâre notorious for making troll threads, just admit you like to see some bickering from time to time, itâs obvious, denying it only makes you look like even more childish.
I make threads where I share my true opinions about the game. Those opinions sometimes happen to be unpopular (my dislike for Legion for example) and lead to strong emotional responses from people.
I can see why you may think of it as trolling. But itâs just me sharing my thoughts.
Sometimes, people agree with them - like it was the case recently with my âColiseumâ suggestion.
Other times, they donât, and they argue in the comments. But I canât be blamed for people reacting negatively to neutral threads.
You made a thread ranking Forum users, you can also see by the wording on this title that itâs trolling âAre you guys as thrilled and excited as I am?â Thatâs middle school tier sarcasm.
Only thing missing is the usual snarky comment at the end, that would be cherry on top.
Seriously, I feel stupid when pointing out the obvious.
To be fair you havenât posted a neutral topic in your life. And definitely not in a neutral manner.
Yes. It was a nod to the trend of âtier listsâ from Youtubers.
This thread actually went really well, with people being nice to each other. Plenty of folks naming Punyelf as their favourite user.
All in all, a very nice thread. I remember it fondly.
Iâm only snarky when criticizing something I dislike. Like Legion. Thereâs no reason to be snarky here, is there?
I didnât know that word. Thanks, and feel free to share more, Iâm always eager to learn!
True, I make a lot of positive threads as well:
You guys always focus on the negative. I bemoan it.
In any case, this thread is not about me, let us derail it no further.
I think there are a lot of skilled female gamers out there who could beat anyone but if someone wanna host and/or participate in this specific tournament then they are free to enjoy that I guess.
As I once heard, tongue in cheek âOnce you can fake sincerity, youâve got it made!â
Youâre not there yet.
