1 year not enough for fresh

After 1 year it continues to tbc. Thats not enough time IMO.
Leveling takes time, then pre bis farming, professions and gold farming.
This will cause rush mentality on fresh

these servers will be dead by the time BWL drops. I predict most players will skip raiding entirely and just go for the 1-60 experience.

It is not going to be 1 year straight.

The TBC launch is supposed to be Winter/Spring. Winter ends in February so I assume that is when the pre-patch will drop and then sometimes in Spring it will then roll over to TBC.

You can’t avoid the rush mentality… Even if you get 2 years before TBC launches…

Its simple as that, there are people that got more time to play, and people that got lesser time to play.

Those who got more time will rush to 60, doesn’t matter how long until TBC launch.

What makes you say this? Or is this based on private server “data” where the server quality is subpar and the threat to lose your chars is ever present?

Before the fresh announcement era was getting busier and with the promise of going back to TBC people will want to keep playing.

Not to mention the great QoL stuff they are going to add like dual spec

Sure buddy … sure!

He’s just an “angry mob” , QQing on every thread about Anniversary Servers, since that means the ERA servers will be completely dead.

Ignore him!

Good questions! Based on my experience in SOM the dropoff was brutal. That was another short season server.

If players are here for TBC they really dont need BWL+ gear for that.

The F R E S H junkies (such as myself) enjoy the 1-60 experience but wont commit to a raid schedule.

ERA would get busier because people renewed their subscriptions because of FRESH.

Please do

Well to be fair SoM was released at a bad time and it wasn’t the best season type.

I dunno. I play mainly for TBC and will go through that portal with the best gear I can find to give me an edge in Outland.

If the population is good and people will run Naxx they can put TBC in early 2026 making it 14-16 months. If people are yelling TBC then TBC it will be and people won’t be keen on farming soon-to-be obsoleted gear.

Launch pop will be high, but then a lot will quit in the early weeks, and those that remain will mostly be those that will rush to the endgame. Month after release most leveling zones will be empty. In half a year “TBC when” will start

FRom Blizz’s timeline:

Phase 6: Shadows of the Necropolis

  • When: Late Autumn 2025

  • Introduces: Naxxramas Raid, World PvP in Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands, Scourge Invasion

So how long do you reckon this last phase to last? TBC at the very latest in March 2025 sounds entirely plausible to me.

I think you slipped up with a number there.

Classic is launching NOW, TODAY. The last phase will start late Autumn which will probably last 2-3 Months. Then you will probably have another Pre-patch month followed by a TBC Launch.

1 Year would be Today in one year… at which point we will probably not even have Naxxramas yet or it will be fresh.

TBC is most likely going to hit in March/April 2026 which will give people more than a year.

Sorry, yes March 2026 of course. Thanks. But still only 15-16 months.
Not long enough for me, so please, Blizz, give us TBC Era servers!
