10 days to go, still no info on the realm merges

I just want to know to prepare. Getting more info “soon” apparently means after the merges will happen.

Exact date for pre-patch isn’t even nearly as pressing. I don’t want my characters locked just because I wanted to end up on the same server as my guild, can’t plan ahead, and so on.

But I’m like 95% that it’s on 24th, two weeks after the merges. Blizz said that automatically transferred characters may be unavailable for up to two weeks. The 24th is also 4 weeks before release. That’s my speculation, checks out in my head. But you never know for sure.

Yes but no reason to not release pre patch with fresh serv first, some of us are waiting for it only to play.

Their server consolidation is at august 10. Pre-patch wont be here until at least the 17th.

Merge Firemaw ans Gehennas and only have 1 layer.

This would be so fantastic that you can pretty much guarantee it will never happen, just because of how great it would be.

I think there may have been a bit of sarcasm in his post. Merging Gehennas and Firemaw and removing layering would be funny – maybe the appeal of the mega servers would fade then.

  • Open the free transfer from all realms to HW.

They should merge Mirage Raceway and Nethergarde keep. The end result will be a server similar to Pyrewood Village. Though they can merge all three and be done with it. I am not entirely convinced that there will be a flood of people for Wrath. Even if there were, it would be easy to handle them with layering which anyway they intend to do. Fresh servers will also draw people away from existing servers.

Phew! with people thinking like this I’m even happier that Blizz dexcided to let HW live on. Not everybody wants mega-servers, or even big ones, you know. And actually Blizz has as explicit goal to hve realms of all sizes.
So why not just move yourself to Pyrewood?

I would but there are no free transfers off Nethergarde keep. I argued for that as well in another topic.

If it’s really that bad for you, paying is an option. That’s what I did to get back to HW after going to Pyrewood with my guild.

Or they could make optional crossfaction PvE raids, just in recent SL patch. That would solve most PvE and PvP realms population volatility and prevent overpopulation on Megarealms.

Since we’re all asking for server population solutions, please close free transfers from Zandalar Tribe and open free transfers to Zandalar Tribe for both factions.
