I am an arms axe spec warrior and just hit exalted with AV. I havent respecced yet but the moment I equip The Unstoppable Force for the Dreadforge Retaliator my crit chance goes down from 30ish procent to 20%.
If it would have been ±5% less crit it would have made sense cause of the specialization. But where is the other 5% coming from?
Or is the addon I use bugged? I use Dejaclassicstats.
I was getting 0.1% per 2 skill points while leveling my Paladin I don’t know if this changes at 60 but it was defintely 0.1% as I have leveled all 2 handed weapon skills on this guy and was checking my add on while doing so.
Crit is tied to your weapon skills, if its not maxed your crit will suffer from it. Also, axe spec gives you 5%crit and TuF 2%. So you lose 3% base crit from your talents anyways.
Might be that if you reduce the chance to miss, you increase the chance to crit at the same time. So getting 1point weaponskill actually makes the window for crit higher. -0.04% miss chance is +0.04% crit in addition to the +0.04% increased crit, making it 0.08% crit per weapon skill. Not sure about values though.
Consider it as a attack table, where all the miss, block, dodge, parry, glancing, crits and hits have different percentages. Standing behind a mob, for example, removes blocks. This should end up increasing the other ones. Getting hit% reduces misses etc. Also you will have higher chance to crit on yellow attacks than white ones. Dont take my word for it tough. Im still learning about this, and actually play a resto druid, so i dont have much first hand exp.
