Some 60 just ran past me with a 100% mount. Level 60 is easy but how did he level and get so much gold so fast? Layer exploiting is my guess.

Don’t be jealous. Farm instead of creating useless threads on the forums and you’ll have your 60 and your gold in no time.

Foram mobs that drop currency, complete quests after you reach max lvl you get 0 XP but the currency reward will be higher. Sell stuff in the action house. Use gathering professions while leveling sell all the stuff to vendor. So many ways to do it.
Lucky epic drops, selling enchanting mats, playing the auction house…

A guildie found an Edgemaster and sold it for 800g. If you are smart about your gold you hit 60 with 2-300g. Whoever bought it could easily have borrowed from guildies. Play the game instead of making dumb threads crying about everything on the forums.

But who have 800g to buy that item on AH ? the gold dont just appear out of the blue, anyone buying the item he sold for 800g has to come from somewhere…

Assume everyone hitting 60 has 200-300g each. Assume these players are looking to buy various gear, and now assume someone was lucky enough to find several expensive boe items that enabled gold to flow from several characters into his one character.
With how many people people are playing Classic it would be very surprising if someone didnt get lucky in this manner.

Nah it was never this easy to get gold in classic, i think the layering trick made people lots of gold, maybe static chests somewhere to open for that had gold inside layer to new chest, there was very few that had epic mount at lvl 60 for many months back then, it seems like the rich ones took advantage of the layering.

My very first character back in 2005, a mage, found Krol Blade on the Ogres in Deadwind pass at 58. I bought epicmount a week after hitting 60.
It’s just random luck.

Such nonsense. There is literally streamers showing how to farm gold. You can even have 1000 gold before hitting 60 if you do professions even without layering. Farming cloth while aoe leveling also does the thing and the rest you can just farm at 60
Well clearly not, since you seem to think the only possible way someone can get gold is to grind it from mobs.
I have levelled 8 characters in total, 3 in vanilla wow,
5 in private servers,
Every time I hit 60 I had 900 gold to buy mount. No cheats no hacks.
Play AH buy low sell high.
plenty of way to make money in this game.
People abused the crap out of the layering system and XP exploit.
I know people who are going on their 3rd 60! 
For a time playing Pserver, I knew exactly what we were given, no complaints, if people had more than you they were simply better, here blizz is keeping us in shadows. That’s the problem, it might be true, it might not, but chances that it is are bigger.
But did you hit 60 after a week ? almost no gold in the game from a totally fresh start.
Exactly. People just call out cheating because they dont have the skills to make gold. Its an economy based on trading and selling between players. It’s extremely easy to make 1000g even this early on if you get lucky or know what you are doing.
Every single player generate 2-500g during leveling depending on their class and how they spend what they earn. One player getting their hands on 1k of this is not hard.
