Let us be free. “Oh but the lore” well things change. So why can’t it change in a fantasy game world where another race wants to learn something new.

There is more to it. If you allowed druids to be any given race then they would actually need to design alot of forms beforehand for every single race.

Race hearkens back to the RTS games and the distinctions between them and their lore.
Your race sets the vibe of your character, and originally the vibe of its surroundings, and therefore restricts your class. It’s been this way for 17 years and it’s fine.

I would rather have them release a new class .it is high time
if you allow every race-class combination you need to make up a lore explanation, which means we will need to have an event for which night elves start summoning demons and become warlock after all the history they had with illidan and the likes, for example.

to me, mixture of some races with the class just doesnt work.
night elf shaman ? thats weird.
undead paladin ? not much to say.
and, if they remove race/class restrictions, everyone will go blood elf.

Devs have recently made bunch of Druid forms, crow, stag and etc.
There is no need of unique forms for every race tbh, they can just use the NPC creatures.

I agree. If the tauren have managed to become paladins, I don’t see why a vulpera or an undead cannot.

Not everything Blizzard does is gold, and here’s definitely an example of them doing something that is decidedly not gold.
I’m not too bothered about race class restriction, it’s more I want my race to be able to choose any racial in the game instead of it’s own racial. So I actually can play the race I want.

I can see why one would want that. I really miss shadowmeld when I am not using a night elf. Being able to lose combat can save a lot of time

Indeed, I’d love to be able to use the vulpera’s Make Camp/Return to Camp racial as a tauren.
No one wants to see barns scattered around the place.
