I like most of the changes but one thing bothers me:
Why do I have to pick chainheal now to get Earthshield?
I am Ele PvP player and if there is one thing I don’t need at all, it’s chainheal.
Its better like it is right now, wehre I can get to Eartshield via Lavaburst > Earthelemental > Earthshield

Same for Enhancement obviously. Why should we take chainheal for the Earthshield? What a waste of talent point!
Is Blizzard thinking maybe that Earthshield is just for Resto shammy???
Earth Elemental should be where chain heal is, it should always be the primordial version so we have control. It should be on a 3 min cooldown and earth wall should be returned to us. That way we get a second wall with a +hp modifier, plus a stun to help cc off any players that train us.
Also, Nature’s Swiftness + MSW should affect hex. Jesus, we die so fast. Give us some control over these fights.
I play resto and i think earth shield should be first in the tree… Nothing symbols a resto shaman more than earth shield back in the days.

I like that nature’s swiftness is now an end of tree talent but it definitely needs to be buffed up. the Druid counterpart is eay earlier in the tree and it does MORE than ours with +100% increase in healing.

I think the problem is Shamans especially Elementals are to tanky and to lose Earth Shield brings us in line with other classes defensives.
We just live to long with too much self healing, even when 2 melee train us all game we just live and pump out huge amounts of damage!
And to be fair melee just don’t have constant gap closers and interrupts to stay on Shamans at all while doing little damage to us even when they do connect.
…
So far, it’s a complete disaster. When I looked at the updated talent calculator, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Are they trying to kill the class? As a Resto, my jaw absolutely hit the floor. We already had one of, if not THE worst class trees in the game, but they’re now intentionally making it even worse. Same thing for the spec tree. The issue with the spec tree was and is that it’s overcomplicated and splintered. By comparison a Resto druid can get all of their common utility without any sacrifices. OTOH, they can opt for the feral route, skipping some of that classic utility but gaining new abilities such as a melee interrupt. Comparatively as a Shaman, if you want what we’ve always had AND some of the fun new stuff, you have to make big sacrifices. It is not fair. It is bad balance.
Brimming with Life: I’m now forced to take Chain Lightning to get this. Why? Absolutely stupid. Why am I being forced to either take CL or Ancestral Wolf Affinity to get to Nature’s Fury or worse yet, Purge? I don’t have any time to cast CL in a raid.
Swirling Currents: why nerf this ability? It’s great being able to drop Cloudburst and get a boost to our trash direct healing. Will our Surge/Wave get a more significant buff with this nerf?
Class tree:
Wavespeaker’s Blessing: I’m now forced to take Acid Rain or a dumb talent for CL, which I will likely never cast with a Riptide build, to get this. Why? Do you play your own game?
Not going to write more, it’s too upsetting. Meanwhile as you continue to hamstring the already disabled resto Shaman, you keep buffing resto Druid. Is the intent to get us to reroll then? I guess I will have to, if this nonsense goes live.

I want my 2 charges on Riptide back! (angry face)
These are really bad changes.
My other spec that I would like to enjoy is elemental shaman. That has issues as well.
Do you want me to reroll to some other class this much? Why? Give me a reason… Sure… nerf shamans even more that will help.
funny thing is they are nerfing healers even more, let’s make it even easier for melee to smash their heads and train
Even as a Warlock I can tell Swirling Current changes will literally kill Rhams in PvP.
RIP guys, it was nice knowing you.
Honestly i don’t see big buffs for enhanc mainly those buffs are for elem only * Astral Shift duration increased to 12 seconds (was 8 seconds) and * Astral Bulwark now reduces damage taken by an additional 20% (was 15%) are good, we NEED MORE DEFENSIVE CDS ! BETTER MOBILITY elem is in a better spot then enhanc “Enfeeblement” WHO USES THIS only elem can hex freely, somehow i feel like enhancement shaman have the worst tree some stuff shouldn’t even be in the tree for the love of god start do some brainstorming and listen to the community if you want to see some statistics look how many players play enhancement shaman in tournements and their win rate, there’s your statistics.
You must be joking. Or trolling. Ele shamans…tanky? Hahahahaha…we live too long with melees training us? LOOL
Okay

My feedback is : rerolled priest. It’s quite clear priests need to be gods
I see Focused Insight is gone…wt. Why ?
because it makes our base heals absolute garbage.
focused insight, swirling currents, primordial wave and the 30% self heal talent all belong in the dumpster.
after that you buff wave and surge by a whopping 60% and gg you just made resto not a clunky trash spec that deals more dmg than it heals
Most of the shaman tree should be base line…Tremor, hex, cap totem, purge and dispel ffs…I mean we HAVE to take so many ability it really doesn’t give much choice in what we pick. It would nice to see more baseline, and some more impactful or cool stuff added - like chain harvest (renamed elemental harvest). Or some new BIG totem cds not these useless ones. Like how can 10% physical dmg be on last tier talent…

I vote for chain harvest, 100%.

The solution is chain harvest, I don’t know how it isn’t already in the restoration shaman’s talent tree

And wasn’t Acid Rain’s visual red before?
For me they can ditch primordial wave and add chain harvest, but don’t know how many people will like that idea
