On my enhance shaman, the best(non-bugged) combination Fully upgraded to 424 simmed 299 dps higher than my 405 ring of titanic insight(haste mastery). I was purposely holding back upping the ring to wait for the annulet. But hell no. At its current state, the onyx annulet cant compete at all.
Itās still worth getting it tbh, itās super easy to get and pretty cheap to upgrade. Just in case Blizzard decides to buff it out of the blue and the costs will skyrocket because of it.
I hope not Iām already disliking the inventory clogging the stones give me.
Itās fine if you donāt have high ilvl rings you can replace it with, itās a catchup after all.
Nice patch in all other regards, overflow doesnāt feel needlessly grindy anymore they practically throw it at you in bucket loads at a time so itāll be easy to get the blue crafting gear recolours. I wanted them but didnāt farm the elemental storms for it because it simply didnāt reward enough overflow in my personal opinion

Allow players to pick which āmissiveā they want to add to it - this is a one time thing - can not be changed after doing it = fixes the ring and is super easy to implement
they can even say āthat was what we intended to doā so they donāt look like they dropped the ball on this supposed āsuper ringā we were all meant to pick up REALLY easily

just forget about this ring and throw it in the trash bin. It was a mistake to create and bring back more systems. Im glad this ring is far from bis! Maybe a trinket like mechagon card would be better. I like my stats and dont want to lose it for random damage procs

Class discords and tested in raid.
It seems the ring is good if and only if you manage to get the right collection of stones. That said the lack of secondary stats, particularly haste will not be good for rotation smoothness and fun gameplay.

I am usually very skeptical of procs and prefer constant stats.
I am ilvl 395-ish. (Rings around 390 before.)
I put the feral-recommended combo in the ring, not upgraded yet, so itās at 411.
It makes a very noticeable difference! The proccing happens quite often, and when it does, I always notice it does, and it ranges from a slight bite out of the targetās health pool to a cascade of pain. Itās fun. (But only because I didnāt have to do the combo math myself.)
EDIT: This might all have changed now that Blizzard significantly changed stats shortly after release.

My only question is, why only JC can upgrade these items? Either give option for all other crafting profession or not at all.

plus the competition is high and this item got no ranks or high skill requirements
iām tipping 100g per elementium
so far no JC complained and i feel like iām overtipping
Well the Onyx ring had to be trash, because we could not offend the competitive Lobby players who this husk of an MMORPG is now designed for.
You do realise itās trash for like 4 specs at this point? For most specs itās BIS for this season and into next, and for some itās so good they wonāt even take it off Next Expansion unless they change it.

if wowhead is correct then i lose 6-7% healing for some dps. Not worth imo. maybe in keyrange where every dps matters.
For Demo is bis for single target but not good for M+
