Which is technically good that there is now a gameplay option to be evil.
I am sure Narnis on our Realm will love this!

How does âThis LFD is going to use Fel and demonic slaves to kill demonsâ equate to âthis Lightforged draenei clearly has doubts about his belief in the Lightâ???
A Lightforged draenei could feel 100% justified and beliefs itâs 100% the right thing to do and the Light would not turn on him.
And if it would, how come the Light still answers undeath and Scarlets? Why would it turn on a LFD using Fel for its goals, but not on creatures made by an enemy force that weilds its powers?
By that logic your argument could, and should, be used against LFD mages, yet none complaines about them?
Playable warlocks arenât âevilâ. I know most people skip over quests and such but both Horde and Alliance warlock quests say(d?) that you either serve the Horde/Alliance or they (the warlock teachers) will kill you.
(Edit: dunno if they still say that, or if those quests still exist)
Oh, I wasnât speaking of lore. I was speaking of roleplay options. It is kinda hard for some people to imagine abilities in RP since everyone envisions them differently.
That being said, in duels or fights a Draenei roleplayer can now simply play warlock to pick visual skills and pets to support their âevilâ themed roleplay if they wish to.
Sort of disagree, they are inherently bad people that use a deeply corruptive and cruel power. The one thing one can assume for certain with any warlock is that theyâre up to 0 (zero) good.

oh class descriptions of yore, we did not know how good we had it
Iâll be honest, I donât really buy into the Lightforged explanation. I mean itâs lore, itâs given an in-universe justification but for the most part it feels like theyâve been given access to the class because it would just be kind of weird to give it to all classes except for one.
I think thereâs too much virtue ascribed to the Lightforged as a completely benevolent group. Iâve always seen them as true, beings that have completely given themselves to serving the light and therefore turned into beings absolutely unable to be turned into the weapons of the Burning Legion, but also beings whoâll do absolutely anything they can to gain victory. I wouldnât put it past Lightforged to torture demons and force them to give them their secrets, making them help them infiltrate Burning Legion bases and covens or even fighting fire with fire and having demons face each other in battle to limit Lightforged casualties. Thereâs this other crucial side to Lightforged that they may be zealots but they also know what it means to survive, and understand the merits in using every tool available.
They also witnessed their Prime Naaru being shattered trying to forcefully convert Illidan. Itâs only in the timeline where we interfered and destroyed all threats to the Draenei people on Draenor that they forgot what it was to survive and only knew thriving, deciding to eradicate all darkness from alternate Draenor. In the true timeline, they havenât (yet) known a world without a terrible threat to fight against so they still accept the use of dark magic for a greater cause.
The light may be a force of absolute benevolence and purity, but itâs been shown many times that its arbiters are still individuals who arenât completely infallible nor unaccustomed to the use of drastic methods of carrying out what they perceive to be its will.
This is the actual reason they are getting the class. As much as we can debate the lore aspect I think we are all perfectly aware of this fact.
This is, IMO the reason Lightforged Warlocks are physically possible in the WoW setting. The Light is a weird thing that seems to be more about a belief of righteousness in terms of how it works than anything else.
I think the closest we have in terms of the effects of the Light coming into conflict with a casterâs nature is the old Forsaken Priest stuff and even then the result is primarily extreme pain rather than death.
This also applies to Humans in WoW (prior to SLands).
Nobody is saying that Warlocks of these races are socially accepted among their own.
A good goth mommy will do wonders for warlock PR.
Why not just go full ham and bring in Teron Gorefiend (the cool one not the vore belly fetish one) as a pseudo redeemed warlock trainer.
âLoreâ is just a word scribbled on a bathroom stall in Irvine these days anyway.
What is present in the game is valid in RP. I just hope they give us some lore explanation for it. Also can we get human shaman now?
Lightforged Draenei have been in the game for 6 years now and itâs incredibly telling that the only time anyone ever cares about them is when they get a new class.
This Warlock business is a tired repeat of when they got Death Knights. Itâll be repeated again when they eventually get Demon Hunters, and I have a funny feeling itâll somehow manage to pop up again when they get Shamans.
Velen said that Shamanism is a way to serve the Light⌠So they are fineđ
Orc Demon Hunters when? But also, Orc Demon Hunters why?
âForget that. Why would Lightforged accept the power of the elements!? It should make them explode, probably, idk I forgot that they can be mages conveniently for the sake of my argument.â
Mark my words.
Human shaman totems are just little painted pet rocks bought from a gift shop at a high price.
^ This ^
I donât really understand why other people canât seem to see that as an easy option? ![]()
I think thatâs a very large reach in my honest opinion is why I donât see that as an easy option. Their very spirits are imbued with the Holy Light, theyâre all Paladins on steroids and Paladins already have abilities that let them turn demons to ash in 3 seconds or less.
Just doesnât visually mash to me at all.
Tell that too Tirion, loool.
Or what about the LFD mages? Every time I ask about them you all conveniently seem to not answer.
Why would Arcane not make them explode, or be more acceptable then Fel, when both Fel and Arcane (Order) oppose Light in the grand cosmic scale.
The Titans, the supreme agents of order seem to have taken Light.
Light is one path, arcane is order. They seem like theyâd get on.
As it should because draenei shaman lore is nonexistent which is tragically lazy. Why give a race shaman when all âtheirâ shaman lore belongs to the outcast mutants that labour in their basement.
Because itâs a single braincell whataboutism lol
Arcane and fel are not comparable in any way when it comes to how they fit with the Light.
