What country are you in? I might see if they ship to the UK lol.
I am in UK. Ummm i just looked on Amazon and they are out of stock now (i did see one for Ā£159 but i wouldnt pay that much), first time Iāve seen that. i guess Ebay is your next chance.
Be careful with marketplace sellers on Amazon, I have seen some reskinned knock-offs. You can see if it is legit usually by the font on the bottom. Other giveaway is knock-offs donāt tend to have braided cable.
I used to have that one to have a mobile mouse to work with, and didnāt really like it that much.
Pro:
- If you like to play other genres, like FPS games, the mouse is very light. It is very easy to flick around. According to Razer, MMO gamers seem to prefer more stable, heavy mice, so this is down to preference I suppose.
- I found it comfortable to hold and use
- The sensor feels nice. Not sure how precise it really is, but it felt pretty consistent
- USB-C connection, and also includes an adapter for USB-A
Con:
- It feels cheaply made. The plastic they used for the mouse is OK. Itās not as premium feeling as the Logi or a Razer mouse, but itās not bargain bin cheap. However, every time you press a button thereās a creaking sound from parts of the mouse which just should not happen at the premium price point the Aerox is at.
- Main buttons are partially perforated, which can be uncomfortable on the fingers after a long session. Maybe itās just my weird hands, but I felt they should have made the buttons completely solid.
- Side buttons were kind of heavy to press. Outside of that, other manufacturersā side buttons felt a lot nicer to press.
- Battery life is atrocious. I could get 7 hours out of one charge at best. Turning down the excessive lighting helped slightly, but it was still bad. I guess they sacrificed battery life for lightness here, and I am not sure this is a good thing for an MMO mouse.
- After just a couple of months the battery stopped charging altogether. The light would show itās charging and show it as full, but as soon as I unplugged the mouse it went dark and had to be reconnected.
I have a Logi G305 for FPS, I donāt play many, but it is super light, cheap and reliable.
This feels like the crucial elements of an MMO mouse are cons. I feel an MMO mouse if wireless needs to be suitable for long sessions, it needs to feel nice and it needs to easy to press the side buttons.
The sad thing for me was that I really wanted to like the mouse. It was light, and outside of the weird perforated buttons it was very comfortable in my hands.
IMO they shouldnāt have gone for ultra lightness as the gimmick, but rather make it a light-ish mouse, and remove some holes, give it a better battery and make it slightly sturdier.
Iām not even sure if they used mechanical switches for the side buttons, both Corsair and Razer mice felt more premium in their button presses.
From how I see it, the Aerox is a decent mouse for maybe 60-70 ā¬, but definitely not the price they asked for back then.
Never had that happen with me in dungeons, and I run a lot of them
Iāve gone though every 12 button mmorpg mouse on the market and the best one is the red dragon impact 908. 1/3 of the price of all the other mice, lasts just as long, comes in black or white, full rbg and very basic software for the buttons that doesnāt even have to be running as its saved hardware once configured. No need to install all the bloatware that comes with most especially Razer.
Razer naga seems to be only valid option at this time, aerox seemed amazing but issues with button ergonomics was big miss on steelseries part. Naga, aerox and g600 are only ones i think that have tilt scroll wheel and thats must have on mmo mouse! Aerox i already adressed, g600 is very outdated and buttons feel bad to press, naga is my choice, especially the v2 hyperspeed version. Nice clicky sidebuttons of nagas, freespin wheel is nice sometimes, extra 2 buttons on your index finger are great. Only issue is the weight of these mouses after using ~60g mouse for while.
Could we have mmo mouse with tilting scroll wheel, naga side buttons, aerox shape, be as light as it can without putting holes in it? Pretty please.
