Those are cosmetic, so their perceived worth is subjective.
I agree with OP. There isn’t a good enough incentive to go for 12 month compared to 6 months.

well you gotta ask yourself if oyu want mounts or not.
if not then sure.
plus there are certainly some lazy peopl who just want to be charged once and dont thing about it for rest of year.
I think the only benefit is you get some cosmetic rewards a bit earlier than the 6 Monthers.
The 6 Monthers will get some of their rewards when their sub renews.
At least I believe this is how it works. I’ve been on 6 Month sub for a while now and think I’ve been getting the same rewards but just a little later.
No, there’s some exclusive mounts for 12 month (like the cat and the big murloc).
And then there’s the regular periodical ones (like the chinese new year mounts) and people on a recurring 6 month sub will get those too.

I’ve never liked the look of the big murloc; I don’t like mounts that are upright and you basically sit on their shoulders or something. To me it always looks bad.
The cat is quite nice, but I have no character that that cat would fit with. It’s a very particular aesthetic. I’m also not a fan of animals that traditionally wouldn’t be able to fly, being used as flying mounts.
As others have addressed the exclusive 12 months mounts part, I would like to correct the other part:
- 1 month is 13€,
- 3 months is 12€
- and finally 6 and 12 months is 11€ per month.
It is true you do not get an increased discount between the 6 and 12 months, but it is not 13€ per month if you were to take the two biggest time bundles.

Im lucky to get the coolest one 2 years ago. The green murlock is the best!
For me its worth it as i normally have an active subscription. The extra mounts for the 12 month persuaded me to swap from a 6 month subscription last year.
I will never use the murloc, but the cat is a great size as a mining mount for a belf and has become my palas main world mount. I just wish the classic stuff was available in retail as well.
I pay 1 month a time I keep losing 2 euro per month, damn it I could buy 1 more double cheeseburger or 4 nuggets with dip per month with this

If you add all subscriptions together, like phone, insurances etc that offers annual pay you may get discounts ranging from 0.5% to perhaps potentially 15%.
On yearly overview, that may save you perhaps a couple hundred €. That is quite useful. Everything that can save money is welcome imo, the options are there. People should consider their long-term needs if possible and dip into all of it. Life is tough.

Bro I just said I would get one extra double cheeseburger per month. I consider this as big, but I guess its not obvious as default that I dont have alot money and for some this might seem as small 
Yup, Im saving something over 250 euro month from just quitting smoking alone, then combined with all other that didnt see as needed Im saving quite alot per month. But sometimes one would like to go for that one cheeseburger still

The 2 euro 4 nuggets have dip sauce of ones choosing, its either that or the 2 euro double cheeseburger. Combined they make cheap 4 euro order
